On Wednesday morning His Excellency the Governor departed Arkaroola for Leigh Creek, where the Governor visited Leigh Creek Area School.

In the afternoon the Governor visited and met with volunteers at the new kitchen for Meals on Wheels in Port Pirie, before returning to Adelaide in the evening.

In the evening at Government House, Mrs Scarce hosted a reception to thank supporters and volunteers of the Morialta Trust.

On Tuesday His Excellency the Governor continued participating in the Arkaroola Student Program with students from Urrbrae Agricultural High School.

On Monday His Excellency the Governor met with Mr Adam Huddlestone, Heathgate Resources at Beverley Mine Airport before travelling to Arkaroola Wilderness Sanctuary.

In the afternoon the Governor participated in science activities with students attending the Arkaroola Student Program organised by Emeritus Professor Ian Plimer, and in the evening the Governor addressed the students.

His Excellency the Governor has appointed the Lieutenant Governor, Mr Hieu Van Le AO, as Governor's Deputy from 11:00 am on Saturday 29th June 2013 until 6:00 pm on Wednesday 3rd July 2013 during the Governor's absence interstate, and a subsequent Vice-Regal regional visit.

On Friday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor met with Mr Andrew Fletcher, Chief Executive of Defence SA, to discuss the South Australian defence industry.

Afterwards at Government House, His Excellency the Governor, as patron of the United Nations Association of Australia - South Australia Division, and Mrs Scarce hosted a reception to celebrate the United Nations 2013 International Year of Quinoa.

In the evening the Governor, as patron of Down Syndrome South Australia, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, addressed the guests at the annual 'Beat the Drum' Gala Dinner at the National Wine Centre of Australia.

On Thursday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

In the afternoon the Governor received The Honourable Bruce Debelle AO QC; Ms Amanda Pienaar and Ms Claire Davidson.

In the evening at the Adelaide Festival Centre, the Governor and Mrs Scarce attended the program launch of the 2013 OzAsia Festival.

Afterwards at Stonyfell, the Governor and Mrs Scarce attended a dinner hosted by Mr Barry Fitzpatrick AM and Mrs Ginger Fitzpatrick.

On Wednesday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor received The Honourable Michael Atkinson MP, Speaker of the House of Assembly.

Also in the morning Mrs Scarce, as a guest of the Probus Club of Victor Harbor / Granite Island Combined, addressed the gathering at a meeting following a morning tea in Victor Harbor.

In the afternoon at the National Wine Centre of Australia, the Governor, as honorary member of the Rotary Club of Adelaide, attended a luncheon for the Changeover Ceremony and presentation of Paul Harris Fellowship Awards.

Later in Adelaide, the Governor attended a Naval Shipbuilding meeting at Defence SA.

On Tuesday morning at the Mark Oliphant College, Munno Para West, His Excellency the Governor, as Deputy Prior of St John Ambulance Australia SA, addressed the gathering and presented certificates at the launch of the St John First Aid in Schools Program.

In the evening at Government House, the Governor, as patron, and Mrs Scarce, hosted a reception to thank supporters of the Adelaide Hills International Sculpture Symposium.

On Monday morning at Torrens Parade Ground, Mrs Scarce, as patron, attended a meeting of The Naval Association of Australia - South Australian Section - WRANS Sub Section.

In the evening in the Hawke Building, His Excellency the Governor, as a guest of the University of South Australia, attended an event to celebrate the success of the ‘unijam' initiative.

Afterwards at Government House the Governor, as patron, and Mrs Scarce hosted a dinner for the South Australian National Football League. On Sunday morning the Governor, as Deputy Prior of St John Ambulance Australia SA, and Mrs Scarce, attended the annual Church Service at St Augustine's Anglican Church, Unley.

On Saturday afternoon His Excellency the Governor, as Ambassador of the Central District Football Club, attended the President's pre-match function and the match between Central District and Port Adelaide at the Playford Alive Oval.

In the evening the Governor, as patron of the Youth Opportunities Association (SA), accompanied by Mrs Scarce, addressed the guests and presented the Governor's Award at the 2013 Gala Fundraising Dinner at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre.

On Friday morning at the Adelaide Town Hall, His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce, as guests of the Adelaide City Council, attended an event with His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

In the evening at Elder Hall, the Governor, as patron, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, addressed the gathering and officially opened the 2013 Australian Refugee Association Annual Oration.

On Thursday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

In the evening the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted a dinner for the Hon Terry Worthington QC to mark his recent retirement as Chief Judge of the District Court of South Australia. On Wednesday morning at Government House His Excellency the Governor received Mr and Mrs Terence Scarce.

In the evening the Governor, as patron, and Mrs Scarce hosted a reception for the presentation of awards for Safer Communities Australia.

Later at the Adelaide Festival Centre, the Governor and Mrs Scarce attended the Adelaide Festival Centre Foundation Gala Fundraiser Event as guests of the Foundation.

In the morning students from One Tree Hill Primary School toured Government House.

On Monday afternoon at the Bob Hawke Prime Ministerial Centre, His Excellency the Governor, as a guest of the Migrant Resource Centre of South Australia, launched SA Refugee Week and the Centre's 30th anniversary commemorative publication 'Helping to Build Australia'.

In the evening at Government House the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted a reception to thank volunteers of Holiday Explorers.

In the morning students from Moana Primary School toured Government House.

On Saturday at Mannum, His Excellency the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, addressed the gathering on the occasion of the 50th Anniversary of the last voyage of the historic Paddle Steamer Marion, which included a cruise and a luncheon on board hosted by Mannum Dock Museum.

In the evening at the Dunstan Playhouse, the Governor and Mrs Scarce, as guests of the Adelaide Festival Centre, attended a performance Meow Meow, which formed part of the 2013 Adelaide Cabaret Festival.

On Friday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

Later His Excellency the Governor, as patron of Sids and Kids South Australia, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, participated in the 2013 Red Nose Parade, followed by a BBQ in the grounds of Government House for children and participants.

In the afternoon at Government House, His Excellency the Governor, as Deputy Prior, and Mrs Scarce hosted an Investiture Ceremony for The Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St John in Jerusalem in South Australia.

Later at Legacy House, Mrs Scarce, as patron of the Partners of Veterans Association of Australia - South Australian Branch, together with the Governor, cut the cake at the Association's 10th birthday celebration.

In the evening at the Dunstan Playhouse, the Governor and Mrs Scarce, as guests of the Adelaide Festival Centre, attended a performance by Bernadette Robinson, as part of the 2013 Adelaide Cabaret Festival.

On Thursday afternoon at Government House, His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted a luncheon for His Excellency Mr Ravdan Bold, Ambassador of Mongolia, and Mrs Mijiddorj Oyuun. Other guests included Mr Ganbat Battulga, First Secretary, Embassy of Mongolia, and Mr Bengy Paolo, Mr Matthew Farmer, Ms Heather Gryst, Ms Lynda Milde, and Mr Mauro Farinola, participants in the Governor's Leadership Foundation program.

On Tuesday morning at Government House His Excellency the Governor received the Honourable John Gazzola MLC, President of the Legislative Council.

Later the Governor received Mr Lloyd Leah OAM and presented him with his Medal of the Order of Australia.

In the evening the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted a dinner for Mr Douglas Gautier, Chief Executive Officer and Artistic Director, Adelaide Festival Centre and Ms Carmen Chan, and Mr Harvey Collins and Mr Don Barrett.

In the morning community volunteers toured Government House.

On Monday afternoon at the Adelaide Festival Theatre, His Excellency the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, addressed the gathering and presented awards at the official Volunteers Day celebrations, as guests of The Honourable Tony Piccolo MP.

 

On Sunday evening at the Adelaide Festival Theatre, the Governor and Mrs Scarce, as guests of the Adelaide Festival Centre, attended a performance by Kristin Chenoweth with the Adelaide Art Orchestra, as part of the 2013 Adelaide Cabaret Festival.

On Saturday at AAMI Stadium, His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce, as guests of the Chairman of the Adelaide Football Club, attended the pre-match function and football game between the Adelaide Crows v Sydney Swans.

Later at the Dunstan Playhouse, the Governor and Mrs Scarce, as guests of the Adelaide Festival Centre, attended a performance of An Evening with Molly Ringwald, as part of the 2013 Adelaide Cabaret Festival.

On Thursday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

In the afternoon the Governor and Mrs Scarce were joined for lunch by Sir James and Lady Hardy.

In the evening at the Adelaide Festival Theatre, the Governor and Mrs Scarce, as guests of the Adelaide Festival Centre, attended a Variety Gala Performance as part of the 2013 Adelaide Cabaret Festival.

On Wednesday evening at Her Majesty's Theatre, His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce, as guests of the Adelaide Festival Centre, attended a performance of Shane Warne The Musical, as part of the 2013 Adelaide Cabaret Festival.

On Tuesday morning at Brighton, His Excellency the Governor, as patron of Minda, addressed the gathering and turned over the first sod of soil for the commencement of works for Minda's ‘Brighton Dunes' retirement apartments.

In the afternoon at Government House, His Excellency the Governor, as patron of the Royal Geographical Society of South Australia, and Mrs Scarce hosted a reception for the presentation of awards.

On Monday morning at Glenside Hospital, Mrs Scarce, as a guest of the Women's and Children's Health Network, toured the Helen Mayo House facilities, followed by morning tea with volunteers.

In the evening at Government House, Mrs Scarce hosted a reception for the presentation of awards for Hands On SA.

Afterwards at the Marche Club, Paradise, Mrs Scarce attended a gala reception to celebrate the Italian National Day.

On Sunday morning at Christ Church North Adelaide, Mrs Scarce delivered a reading at a service to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II.
