In the evening the Governor and Mrs Scarce, as guests of the Australian Dance Theatre, attended the premiere of the performance 'Proximity' at Her Majesty's Theatre.

On Friday morning His Excellency the Governor, as patron, attended the official launch of the 2012 Aboriginal Power Cup at Allan Scott Power Headquarters, Alberton.

In the afternoon the Governor officially launched the Country Press SA Centenary Book followed by a luncheon at the Stamford Plaza Adelaide.

Mrs Scarce attended the official opening of the new premises of the Women's Legal Service in Adelaide.

In the evening at the Adelaide Town Hall, the Governor and Mrs Scarce attended the opening night of the 2012 Adelaide Fringe and viewed the parade.

Afterwards on North Terrace in front of the Art Gallery of South Australia, the Governor and Mrs Scarce attended the premiere of Allegoria Sacra by AES+F.

On Thursday morning at Government House His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

Later the Governor, as patron of the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SA), and Mrs Scarce hosted a reception for the presentation of the RSPCA Humane Award to Ms Jan Prider.

In the afternoon the Governor received Mr John Schumann at Government House.

In the evening at the West Adelaide Football Club, Richmond, the Governor and Mrs Scarce, who is patron-in-chief of the National Council of Women of South Australia, attended the forum: 'The Sex Industry - Decriminalise or Legalise?'.

On Wednesday afternoon at Government House, His Excellency the Governor, as patron-in-chief, was joined for luncheon by Dr Tony Cocchiaro AM, Chairman of the Australia Day Council of South Australia Inc.

In the evening the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted a dinner for the Honourable Kevin Foley, former Member of Parliament.  Other guests included Mr Jack Foley, Mr Ben Foley and Ms Alice Butter, Mr Ryan Foley, Mr Gordon Smith and Mr Clayton Johnson.

On Tuesday morning His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted a reception in the grounds of Government House to present the Governor's Multicultural Awards.

In the afternoon at the Stamford Plaza, the Governor delivered the keynote address at the first anniversary luncheon of the UniSA College.

At the Fullarton Park Community Centre, Mrs Scarce, as a guest of the Community Visitors Scheme Coordinators SA Network, officially opened the ‘Reminiscing - Cheers for 20 Years' State Conference and presented recognition certificates.

On Thursday morning His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce attended the 2012 Ecumenical Service to mark the beginning of the Parliamentary year, hosted by the Parliamentary Christian Fellowship and the Leaders of Christian Churches SA at Pilgrim Church.

On Wednesday morning His Excellency the Governor, as guest of the Muriel Matters Society, attended a commemorative morning tea held at Parliament House to celebrate the 103rd Anniversary of the Balloon Flight by Miss Muriel Matters.

Later at Government House the Governor received Mr Paul Edginton, Chief Executive Officer of the Service to Youth Council.

In the afternoon the Governor met with Mr Andrew Fletcher, Chief Executive Officer of Defence SA.

In the morning students from Redeemer Lutheran School, Nuriootpa, toured Government House.

On Tuesday morning in the grounds of Government House, His Excellency the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, addressed the guests and presented awards at the 2012 Merit Ceremony hosted by the SACE Board of South Australia.

In the afternoon at Parliament House the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, opened and formally addressed the second session of the 52nd Parliament of South Australia.

Later, as guests of His Worship the Mayor of the Rural City of Murray Bridge, Mr Allan Arbon OAM, the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, officially opened the Murray Bridge Public Library.

On Monday morning at Government House His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

On Sunday morning Mrs Scarce, as patron of the South Australian Women's Memorial Playing Fields Trust, attended the 2012 Bangka Day Service at May Mills Pavilion, St Marys.

In the afternoon, as guests of the Co-ordinating Italian Committee, the Governor and Mrs Scarce attended the Carnevale 2012 Reception and the Official Ceremony at the Adelaide Showground.

In the evening at Taperoo, the Governor and Mrs Scarce attended a dinner in celebration of the formal opening of the new South Australia Police Academy.

In the afternoon the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, unveiled the Australian Defence Force Health Service Memorial at Angas Memorial Gardens, North Adelaide.

On Monday morning at Christ Church, North Adelaide, Mrs Scarce attended a church service to mark the 60th anniversary of Her Majesty The Queen's accession to the throne.

In the afternoon at the City of Charles Sturt Civic Centre, Woodville, His Excellency the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, addressed the guests at a high tea to celebrate Her Majesty The Queen's Diamond Jubilee, hosted by Her Worship the Mayor of the City of Charles Sturt, Ms Kirsten Alexander.

On Saturday afternoon at the Adelaide College of the Arts, His Excellency the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, launched the 2012 season of the Adelaide Youth Orchestras.

On Friday morning His Excellency the Governor met with Mr Andrew Fletcher, Chief Executive Officer, Defence SA.

Later Mrs Scarce, as a guest of the Cancer Council South Australia, attended the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute Cancer Research Theme Launch at the Adelaide Convention Centre.

Later the Governor received Mr Hidenobu Sobashima, Consul-General of Japan; Ms Noriyo Shoji, Vice-Consul, Political and Economic Section and Mr Adam Wynn, Honorary Consul for Japan in South Australia.

In the evening at the Naval Military & Air Force Club, the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, addressed the guests at the Cambridge-Oxford Dinner, hosted by The Cambridge Society of South Australia and The Oxford Society of South Australia.

On Wednesday morning, His Excellency the Governor accompanied His Royal Highness The Duke of Kent KG GCMG GCVO ADC on a site visit to the Techport Australia precinct at Osborne.

In the afternoon, His Royal Highness departed Adelaide.

On Tuesday morning in the Adelaide Hills, His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce, in the presence of His Royal Highness The Duke of Kent KG GCMG GCVO ADC, visited "The Cedars", the family home of Sir Hans Heyson, followed by The Lane Vineyard.

In the evening the Governor and Mrs Scarce, as guests of the Royal Institution of Australia, attended the Benefactors Dinner, in the presence of His Royal Highness, at The Science Exchange, Adelaide.

On Monday afternoon His Royal Highness The Duke of Kent KG GCMG GCVO ADC arrived to stay at Government House.

In the evening His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce were joined for dinner by His Royal Highness.

On Thursday morning His Excellency the Governor, as patron of the Order of Australia Association - South Australian Branch, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, addressed the guests at the Australia Day Multi Faith celebration "Together in Peace" at Elder Hall.

In the evening the Governor hosted the inaugural meeting of ‘Community of Elders', an initiative of the South Australian Family Business Community.

On Sunday the Governor and Mrs Scarce, as guests of Events South Australia, viewed the 2012 Santos Tour Down Under street circuit from King William Road, Adelaide.
