On Friday His Excellency the Governor, as patron of The Paraplegic and Quadriplegic Association of SA, participated in the 7th annual Tindall Gask Bentley Lawyers Drive for Life Golf Challenge at the Royal Adelaide Golf Club.

 In the afternoon at Government House the Governor received Mr Tony Piccolo MP, Deputy Speaker of the House of Assembly.

In the evening at Government House the Governor and Mrs Scarce, who is patron of Girl Guides South Australia, hosted a reception for the presentation of awards.

Afterwards at the Murray Bridge Community Club, the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, addressed the guests at the 2012 Apprentice and Trainee Awards Dinner hosted by the Murraylands Training and Employment Association of South Australia.

In the morning visiting American Ambassadors and members of The Friendship Force of Adelaide toured Government House.

On Thursday morning at Government House His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

In the afternoon the Governor attended a luncheon with Mr Geoff Day, Division Director, Macquarie Private Wealth.

Later in the grounds of Government House, the Governor and Mrs Scarce, together with The Hon Jay Weatherill MP, Premier of South Australia, hosted a reception to celebrate Her Majesty the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.

On Wednesday morning at Government House His Excellency the Governor received Mr Rick Baldock, President, and Mr Phil Callen, Executive Director, The Council of Education Associations of South Australia.

Afterwards at Government House, the Governor received Ms Leanne Liddle, Project Manager APY Food Security Strategy, Department of Premier and Cabinet and Ms Fiona Ward, Director, Projects and Planning, Department of Premier and Cabinet.

In the evening, as patron of the South Australian Cricket Association, His Excellency the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, attended the 54th Bradman Medal Presentation at Adelaide Oval.

On Tuesday morning at Government House His Excellency the Governor received Associate Professor Susan Neuhaus, Chair of the Board, and Ms Elizabeth Clare, Chief Executive Officer, Foundation Daw Park.

Afterwards the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted a luncheon for Mr Bill Muirhead, Agent General for South Australia, and Mrs Jeanne Muirhead.

In the afternoon the Speaker, Members and Officers of the House of Assembly called at Government House to present to His Excellency the Address-in-Reply to the Governor's speech which was delivered at the opening session of the current session of Parliament.

In the evening at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre the Governor and Mrs Scarce attended the inaugural lecture of Professor Carla Rinaldi, Adelaide Thinker in Residence.

Last Friday His Excellency the Governor, as a guest of Barkuma, participated in the 2012 Annual Corporate Charity Golf Day at Tea Tree Gully Golf Club, Fairview Park.

On Monday morning the Governor met with Mr Andrew Fletcher, Chief Executive Officer, Defence SA.

Mrs Scarce, as patron of The Mothers' Union in the Diocese of Adelaide, attended the Lady Day Service at St Peter's Anglican Cathedral, North Adelaide.

Later at Government House the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted BoysTown students and staff, including for a tour of the House.

On Saturday His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce, accompanied by the Governor's Honorary Aides-de-Camp, continued to participate in activities at Scotts Creek Outdoor Centre, Morgan, before returning to Adelaide on Sunday morning.

In the afternoon students from Tafe SA English Language Centre toured Government House.

On Monday evening His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce, as guests of The Joint Commonwealth Societies in South Australia, attended a reception in celebration of Commonwealth Day at Pulteney Grammar School.

On Sunday morning at Keswick Barracks, the Governor addressed the contingent at a farewell parade for the Australian Army 9th Brigade soldiers deploying on Operation Anode.

Throughout Sunday, the Governor and Mrs Scarce greeted members of the public during the Government House Open Day.

On Saturday evening His Excellency the Governor, as Chief Scout of Scouts Australia - South Australian Branch, and Mrs Scarce, attended the Adelaide 36ers and Gold Coast Blaze basketball game at the Adelaide Arena, Findon.

On Friday morning at Government House His Excellency the Governor met with Mr Andrew Fletcher, Chief Executive Officer of Defence SA.

In the evening the Governor and Mrs Scarce attended a dinner with Mr Glenn Cooper AM, Chairman and Marketing Director of Coopers Brewery Ltd and Mrs Elspeth Cooper.

On Sunday from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm, the formal rooms of Government House and the grounds will be open to the public.  Entry is free.

On Tuesday morning at Government House His Excellency the Governor received Air Chief Marshal Angus Houston AC AFC (Retd), Chair of the ANZAC Centenary Advisory Board; His Honour Judge Rauf Soulio, member of the Board; Sir Eric Neal AC CVO, Chair of the Veterans Advisory Council; Mr Bill Denny AM, Director of Veterans SA and Ms Tanya Clery, Media Advisor for Air Chief Marshal Houston.

Afterwards the Governor attended the Carnegie Mellon University - Australia Development Committee meeting in the Torrens Building, Victoria Square, Adelaide.

In the afternoon the Governor, as Deputy Prior, received Mr Glen Brewer, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Ms Sharyn Mitten, Chief Executive Officer of St John Ambulance Australia SA.

In the morning community volunteers toured Government House.

On Monday afternoon His Excellency the Governor, as patron of the South Australian Jockey Club Inc, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, attended the running of the Adelaide Casino Adelaide Cup at Alan Scott Park, Morphettville, and presented the Adelaide Cup to the winning connections.

On Sunday afternoon the Governor and Mrs Scarce attended the Adelaide Festival performance of 'Bloodland' at the Dunstan Playhouse.

On Saturday evening His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce attended the Adelaide Festival performance of ‘Mass' at the Adelaide Festival Theatre.

On Friday morning His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce attended the 2012 International Women's Day Breakfast at the Adelaide Convention Centre.

Afterwards at Government House the Governor met with Mr Andrew Fletcher, Chief Executive Officer of Defence SA.

Later the Governor received Professor Terry Buss, Executive Director of the Carnegie Mellon University - Heinz College Australia.

In the afternoon the Governor, as patron of The Carbine Club of South Australia, attended the Adelaide Cup Luncheon at Morphettville Racecourse.

On Thursday morning at Government House His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

Afterwards the Governor attended the Adelaide Festival Writers' Week at Torrens Parade Ground.

In the afternoon the Governor and Mrs Scarce attended the International Women's Day Luncheon at the Adelaide Convention Centre, as guests of the IWD Committee of SA.

On Sunday morning in the grounds of Government House, the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, addressed the guests at the Writers' Week Booklovers' Breakfast hosted by The Independent Arts Foundation (SA).

In the afternoon the Governor attended the Clipsal 500 Adelaide V8 Supercar Race, as a guest of the Premier at the South Australia Suite, Victoria Park Race Circuit.

Mrs Scarce, as patron, attended a luncheon in celebration of the 58th Birthday of the formation of The Naval Association of Australia - South Australian Section - WRANS Sub Section at Hackney Hotel.

On Saturday morning His Excellency the Governor, as patron of the Legacy Club of Adelaide, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, participated in a fundraising flight to Woomera, tour of facilities, a luncheon and a fly over Lake Eyre, before returning to Adelaide in the evening.

On Friday morning His Excellency the Governor addressed the ceremony held to officially open the Mark Oliphant College at Munno Para West.

Mrs Scarce attended the 2012 World Day of Prayer Service at Scots Church, Adelaide.

In the evening at the Art Gallery of South Australia, the Governor and Mrs Scarce attended the official opening of 'Parallel Collisions: 2012 Adelaide Biennial of Australian Art'.

Afterwards the Governor and Mrs Scarce attended the official opening reception of the 2012 Adelaide Festival at the Adelaide Festival Centre, followed by the performance of Ennio Morricone Live at Elder Park.

On Thursday morning at Government House His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

Later the Governor received Professor Steve Wesselingh, Executive Director of the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute.

In the afternoon Mrs Scarce, as patron of The Embroiderers' Guild of South Australia Inc, accompanied by the Governor, officially opened the biennial members' exhibition "A Bouquet of Medieval Stitches" at Mile End.

In the evening the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted a dinner for Mr Peter Barry, Proprietor of Jim Barry Wines and Mrs Sue Barry, and Mr Geoff Day, Division Director of Macquarie Private Wealth and Mrs Anne Day.
