On Thursday morning at The Sebel Playford, His Excellency the Governor attended the 'Wellbeing and South Australia Breakfast' hosted by Mr Raymond J Spencer, Chairman of the Economic Development Board.

Afterwards at Government House the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

His Excellency the Governor has appointed the Lieutenant Governor, Mr Hieu Van Le AO, as Governor's Deputy from 10:00 am on Thursday 3rd May until 10:00 am on Sunday 13th May 2012 during his absence on leave.

On Wednesday morning at Government House His Excellency the Governor received The Honourable Dr Jane Lomax-Smith, Chair of the South Australian Museum.

In the afternoon the Governor received Mr Steve Olsen, Managing Director of Rex Minerals Ltd.

Afterwards the Governor received Dr Ramayya Krishnan, Dean of Carnegie Mellon University.

In the evening the Governor hosted a reception to celebrate the 125th anniversary of The Wyatt Benevolent Institution.

On Tuesday morning His Excellency the Governor, as a guest of Mr Malcolm Hyde AO APM, Commissioner of Police, inspected and sailed on the Police launch Investigator II, Port Adelaide.

In the afternoon at Government House the Governor received Professor John Williams, Dean of Adelaide Law School, University of Adelaide and Captain Dale Stephens CSM RAN, who is on secondment from the Royal Australian Navy to Adelaide Law School.

Afterwards the Governor received Sir Eric Neal AC CVO, Chairman of the Veterans' Advisory Council.

Later the Governor hosted a reception for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander War Memorial Committee.

On Monday afternoon at Government House, His Excellency the Governor, as patron, hosted a reception for the Special Interest Music Centre Secondary Schools in South Australia.

In the evening at the InterContinental Adelaide, the Governor, as a guest of the South Australian Tourism Commission and InterContinental Adelaide, addressed the guests at the Best of British Dinner, as part of Tasting Australia, and in support of the South Australian athletes preparing for the 2012 London Olympics.

On Sunday afternoon at AAMI Stadium, His Excellency the Governor, as patron, attended the Chairman's cocktail function followed by the football match Port Adelaide v Adelaide hosted by South Australian National Football League.

On Saturday afternoon at the Morphettville Racecourse, His Excellency the Governor, as patron, attended the Schweppes Oaks Day Board Luncheon hosted by South Australian Jockey Club.

On Friday morning His Excellency the Governor met with Mr Andrew Fletcher, Chief Executive Officer of Defence SA.

Afterwards at Government House, the Governor received Professor Terry Buss, Executive Director of Carnegie Mellon University.

Later, His Excellency the Governor attended the Lord Mayoral reception to mark Colonel William Light's Birthday Anniversary hosted by Adelaide City Council at the Adelaide Town Hall.

In the afternoon, the Governor officially opened the 13th World Croquet Federation World Association Croquet Championship at the South Australian Croquet Association Headquarters, Adelaide.

On Thursday morning at Government House His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

Afterwards the Governor officially opened the new Harrow Trust accommodation building followed by a tour at Glenside.

In the afternoon, His Excellency the Governor attended the official opening of the Flinders Centre for Innovation in Cancer at Flinders Medical Centre.

Afterwards at Government House, the Governor received Mr Hieu Van Le AO, Lieutenant Governor.

In the evening at Government House, the Governor hosted a reception for the Aboriginal Employment Industry Champions Network and Industry Clusters.

On Wednesday morning His Excellency the Governor, as a guest of The Returned & Services League of Australia (SA Branch), placed a wreath at the ANZAC Dawn Service at the State National War Memorial.

Later the Governor received the Salute at the ANZAC March, and afterwards placed a wreath at the ANZAC Commemoration Service at The Cross of Sacrifice, Pennington Gardens, North Adelaide.

In the afternoon at Government House the Governor hosted a reception for the organisers, Marshals and others associated with the ANZAC commemorations.

On Tuesday morning His Excellency the Governor, as a guest of Centre for Automotive Safety Research, University of Adelaide, toured the new vehicle testing laboratory at Kent Town, as part of a series of visits to industry.

In the afternoon at Government House, the Governor received Mr Creagh O'Connor, Chairman and Mr Peter Roberts, Director of the Clipper Ship ‘City of Adelaide' Preservation Trust.

In the evening at the South Australian National War Memorial, the Governor attended the ANZAC Eve Youth Vigil Memorial Ceremony, as a guest of The Returned & Services League of Australia (SA Branch) and the ANZAC Eve Youth Vigil Committee.

In the morning and in the afternoon, groups of students from Moana Primary School toured Government House.

On Monday evening at Government House His Excellency the Governor hosted a reception to thank volunteers and supporters of the Adelaide Fringe 2012.

Afterwards at Lincoln College, North Adelaide, the Governor addressed the guests and presented awards at the Lincoln College Scholarships and Awards Dinner.

On Sunday evening the Governor, as a guest of the Returned and Services League of Australia -Macclesfield Sub-Branch, addressed the gathering and placed a wreath at the ANZAC Twilight Remembrance Service at the Macclesfield RSL Clubrooms.

On Saturday afternoon at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre, His Excellency the Governor, as a guest of the Grand Lodge of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons of South Australia and Northern Territory, attended the Grand Installation of the Right Worshipful Brother Robert John Parsons as Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Freemasons of South Australia and Northern Territory.

In the evening the Governor, as patron of Foundation Daw Park, attended the 2012 ANZAC Commemoration Gala Ball at the Adelaide Festival Centre.

On Friday morning His Excellency the Governor met with Mr Andrew Fletcher, Chief Executive Officer of Defence SA.

In the evening the Governor, as a guest of the SA State Council of the Kairos Prison Ministry Australia, addressed the gathering at the closing ceremony for Kairos Program #15 at Mobilong Prison, Murray Bridge.

On Tuesday morning Mrs Scarce, as patron of The Cottage Homes, officially opened the landscaped revival of the Toorak Gardens Cottages at Toorak Gardens.

Afterwards His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted a luncheon at Government House for Mr Wayne Irvine and Mrs Megan Irvine, Mr Dean Katzer and Mrs Joanne Katzer, Mr Steve Auch-Schwelk and Mr Wayne Mildren.

In the evening the Governor, as patron of Safer Communities Australia, and Mrs Scarce hosted a reception for the presentation of awards for Safer Communities Australia.

On Thursday morning at Government House His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

Afterwards the Governor hosted an Investiture ceremony and reception for 16 recipients of Australian Honours.

In the evening at the UniSA City West Campus, the Governor, as patron-in-chief of The Bob Hawke Prime Ministerial Centre, University of South Australia, attended the 'Paths to a just peace for Palestine and Israel' dialogue forum, jointly hosted by the Abraham Institute.

Afterwards at Elder Hall the Governor, as a guest of the University of Adelaide, attended the Elder Hall Appeal Concert Gala Launch.

On Wednesday at Government House His Excellency the Governor hosted an Investiture ceremony and reception for 21 recipients of Australian Honours. After the ceremony the Governor hosted a luncheon. Guests included Mr G Mackie OAM , SA Representative to the Council for the Order of Australia; Mr W McCann, Commissioner for Public Employment and Mrs B McCann; Mr M Groote, representing the Chief Executive of the SA Fire and Emergency Services Commission; Mr G Lupton AFSM, Chief Executive Officer, SA Metropolitan Fire Service and Ms D Eidsforth; Mr R Sandford, representing the Chief Officer of the SA Country Fire Service; Mr A Chia, representing the Chief Executive Officer of the SA Ambulance Service and Mrs A Chia; Mr C Beattie, Chief Officer, State Emergency Service SA and Mrs M Beattie, and the Honorary Aides-de-Camp to the Governor who assisted at the ceremony.

In the evening at Ayers House the Governor, as patron of the National Trust of South Australia, officially launched the National Trust SA Innovation & Invention WIKI Website.

On Tuesday at Government House His Excellency the Governor hosted an Investiture ceremony and reception for recipients of Australian Honours and a Bravery Award. After the ceremony the Governor hosted a luncheon. Guests included Mr HV Le AO, Lieutenant Governor of South Australia and Mrs L Le; Air Commander N Derwort CSC, Senior Defence Force Representative - SA and Ms P Koitka; Brigadier C McCarthy CSC RFD ADC, Army Area Representative; Commander A Williams ADC RAN, Commanding Officer of Navy Headquarters - SA; Mr M Hyde AO APM, Commissioner of Police; Mr B Denny AM, SA Representative of the Australian Bravery Decorations Council, and the Honorary Aides-de-Camp to the Governor who assisted at the ceremony.

In the evening the Governor, as a guest of Masters Swimming South Australia, presented awards at the 37th Masters Games National Championships Presentation Night at Glenelg Surf Life Saving Club.

On Monday afternoon at Government House His Excellency the Governor, as patron of Special Olympics South Australia, received Mr Chris Lemm and Mr Jehad Rashed, State Board members.

Afterwards the Governor received the Honourable Lyn Breuer MP, Speaker of the House of Assembly.

On Sunday afternoon the Governor, as patron of Can:Do 4Kids - Townsend House, addressed the guests at the Can:Do 4Kids Day at Townsend House, Hove.

On Saturday afternoon His Excellency the Governor, as Ambassador of the Central District Football Club, attended the President's luncheon, followed by the match between Central District and South Adelaide at Playford Alive Oval, Elizabeth.  

On Friday morning at the Adelaide Convention Centre, His Excellency the Governor, as patron of the Local Government Association of South Australia, addressed the Association members prior to its 2012 Annual General Meeting.

Later at Government House the Governor received Mr Simon Liu, President; Mr Jerry Zhang, Chairman, and Mr Charles Wang, Partner of the Hanhong Private Equity Investment Company, and Mr Barrie Harrop, Executive Director of Windesal Ltd.

In the afternoon at the Grange Golf Club, Seaton, the Governor, as a guest of the South Australian Italian Golf Club, participated in the 21st Celebration Pro-Am Golf Tournament, followed by a presentation dinner.

On Thursday morning at Government House His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

In the afternoon the Governor, as patron of the Commonwealth Club of Adelaide, addressed the guests at the 102nd Anniversary Luncheon at Adelaide Oval.

In the evening the Governor, as patron of the Local Government Association of South Australia, attended a dinner at the Adelaide Convention Centre

On Wednesday morning at Government House His Excellency the Governor received Mr T Piccolo MP, Deputy Speaker of the House of Assembly.

Later the Governor, as patron, received Mr G Rappensberg, Chief Executive of Novita Children's Services.

Afterwards the Governor received Mr P Merrow, Director of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu and Mr S Ludlam, Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Submarine Corporation Pty Ltd.

In the afternoon the Governor, as patron, received Mr T Jackson, Chairperson and Ms E O'Loughlin, Chief Executive Officer of Volunteering SA & NT.

In the evening the Governor officially opened the inaugural Adelaide Hills International Sculpture Symposium at The Cedars, Hahndorf.

Afterwards at Glenelg Golf Club, the Governor attended a dinner in celebration of the 50th Birthday of the Lions Club of Edwardstown.

On Tuesday evening His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted a dinner at Government House.  Guests included Mr Les Burdett OAM, Director of Les Burdett Consulting Pty Ltd and Dr Jane Burdett, and Mr Tom Hannah and Mrs Lara Hannah, Proprietors of the Bombay Bicycle Club.

In the morning community volunteers toured Government House.

On Monday, as guests of the Oakbank Racing Club, His Excellency the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, presented trophies to the winning connections at the 2012 Easter Racing Carnival at Oakbank Racecourse.

In the morning His Excellency the Governor continued his Vice-Regal visit to Port Wakefield and the Yorke Peninsula with a tour of the Rex Minerals Limited Hillside Project site at Pine Point, before returning to Adelaide in the afternoon.

In the morning at Government House His Excellency Mr Hieu Van Le AO, as Governor's Deputy, presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

On Wednesday morning His Excellency the Governor departed Adelaide for a Vice-Regal visit to Port Wakefield and the Yorke Peninsula.  First, the Governor toured Primo Port Wakefield Abattoir.

As a guest of His Worship the Mayor of the District Council of Yorke Peninsula, Mr Ray Agnew OAM, the Governor addressed the guests at a community luncheon at the Ardrossan Sport and Recreation Club.   Afterwards the Governor toured the Bublacowie Military Museum, Yorketown.

In the evening at the Ardrossan Hotel, the Governor attended a Council dinner hosted by the Mayor.   Afterwards at the Ardrossan Town Hall, the Governor officially opened the Yorke Peninsula Art Exhibition and presented awards.

The Governor has appointed the Lieutenant Governor, Mr Hieu Van Le AO, as Governor's Deputy from 8:00 am on Wednesday 4th April until 12:00 noon on Thursday 5th April 2012.

On Tuesday morning at Government House His Excellency the Governor received Mr Andrew Fletcher, Chief Executive of Defence SA.

Afterwards at Government House the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted a reception for the Short List Announcement of the Children's Book Council of Australia Book of the Year Awards.

In the afternoon at Government House the Governor received Mr Christopher Ashenden, President and   Mr Robert Whinnen, Vice President of the 7th Battalion Royal Australian Regiment Association (South Australia Branch).

Afterwards His Excellency the Governor undertook an industry visit to Maptek I-Site Laser Facility, Glenside.

On Monday afternoon at Government House His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

Later the Governor and Mrs Scarce attended the funeral service for the late Mr Dale Baker at the Chapel of Berry's Funeral Home, Norwood.
