On Thursday morning at Government House His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

In the afternoon at Government House, His Excellency the Governor, as an Honorary Member, and Mrs Scarce, hosted a reception to celebrate the 90th birthday of the Lyceum Club Adelaide.

In the morning, students from St Andrews School toured Government House.

On Wednesday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor received the Honourable Bob Sneath MLC, President of the Legislative Council.

Afterwards, His Excellency the Governor, as patron of Sids and Kids South Australia, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, participated in the 2012 Red Nose Parade followed by a BBQ in the grounds of Government House for children and participants.

In the afternoon, the Governor as patron of Reconciliation South Australia Inc - Ambassadors Program, attended a meeting of the Ambassadors at the Australian Education Union building, Parkside.

In the evening at Government House, His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted a farewell dinner for the Honourable Chief Justice John Doyle AC.

On Tuesday morning at Parliament House, His Excellency the Governor, as patron of the Service to Youth Council, attended the launch of HYPA Housing in celebration of the completion of 32 new affordable housing units for young people in the northern and western suburbs.

On Monday afternoon at the Adelaide Festival Theatre, His Excellency the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, addressed the gathering and presented awards at the official Volunteers Day celebrations, as guests of The Honourable Ian Hunter MLC, Minister for Volunteers.

On Sunday afternoon His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce, as guests of the Young Adelaide Voices, attended the concert "A Winter Mosaic" at Elder Hall.

On Friday morning His Excellency Mr Hieu Van Le AO, as Governor's Deputy, attended The University of Adelaide 2012 Volunteers Recognition Event at Bonython Hall.  Mrs Scarce also attended the event.

On Thursday morning His Excellency the Administrator and Mrs Scarce, as guests of the 9th Battalion of the Royal Australian Regiment Association South Australia, attended a dedication of a memorial to recognise the service of members of the 43rd Infantry Battalion Australia Imperial Force on the Pathway of Honour, Adelaide.

Also in the morning His Excellency Mr Hieu Van Le AO, as Governor's Deputy, presided over a meeting of the Executive Council at Government House.

In the afternoon the Administrator met with Mr Andrew Fletcher, Chief Executive Officer, Defence SA.

In the evening at the Adelaide Town Hall, the Administrator, as patron of the Victoria League for Commonwealth Friendship, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, officially launched the book "In the Queen's Name - a century in the life and work of the Victoria League for Commonwealth Friendship in SA".

On Wednesday morning at Government House His Excellency the Administrator received the Honourable Lyn Breuer MP, Speaker of the House of Assembly.

In the afternoon at the RiAus Science Exchange in Adelaide, the Administrator, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, addressed the guests at a luncheon, hosted by The Cook Society, South Australia, on the occasion of the transit of Venus.

In the evening at Government House the Administrator and Mrs Scarce hosted a reception to thank supporters of the 2012 Adelaide Cabaret Festival.

Later at Christ Church North Adelaide, the Administrator, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, delivered a reading at a service to commemorate the Jubilee Reign of Her Majesty The Queen.

On Tuesday afternoon at Government House His Excellency the Administrator received The Honourable Justice Michael Kirby AC CMG.

In the evening the Administrator and Mrs Scarce hosted a reception for Young Business Leaders of the Royal Society of the Blind, and AusAID Australian Leadership Fellows of Flinders University Centre for Development Studies.

Afterwards the Administrator and Mrs Scarce attended "Legacy", the national season concert of the Australian String Quartet, at the Adelaide Town Hall.

On Monday morning at the Adelaide Convention Centre, His Excellency the Administrator, as patron, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, presented awards at the Graduation Ceremony for students who have participated in the Bedford 'Abilities for All' program.

In the evening at the Playford Civic Centre, Elizabeth, the Administrator, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, addressed the guests at The Queen's Diamond Jubilee Beacon lighting ceremony and civic reception, hosted by The Honourable Jay Weatherill MP, Premier of South Australia and Mr Glenn Docherty, His Worship The Mayor of the City of Playford.

On Friday morning His Excellency the Administrator met with Mr Andrew Fletcher, Chief Executive Officer, Defence SA.

Later the Administrator, as patron of The Returned & Services League of Australia (SA Branch), and Mrs Scarce, placed a tribute at the annual ceremony of remembrance to commemorate the service and sacrifice of Aboriginal servicemen and women at the National War Memorial in Adelaide.

In the evening the Administrator and Mrs Scarce attended the official opening of the South Australia Illustrated exhibitions at the Art Gallery of South Australia.

Afterwards the Administrator and Mrs Scarce were guests of honour at the 2012 Queen's Birthday Dinner at The Adelaide Club.

On Thursday morning at Government House His Excellency the Administrator received Mrs Helen McPherson.

On Wednesday morning at Government House His Excellency the Governor received Ms Alexandra Hocking of Government House, Canberra.

In the afternoon at the State Administration Centre, the Governor attended the Reconciliation Week sausage sizzle in support of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander War Veterans Memorial, hosted by the Department of the Premier and Cabinet Reconciliation Committee.

In the evening His Excellency the Administrator and Mrs Scarce, as guests of The Australian Ballet, attended the performance of Romeo & Juliet at the Adelaide Festival Centre.

Between 1:00 pm on Wednesday 30th May until 4:00 pm on Saturday 9th June 2012, His Excellency the Governor is acting as Administrator of the Government of the Commonwealth. By appointment of the Governor, the Lieutenant Governor, Mr Hieu Van Le AO, is Governor's Deputy during this period.

On Tuesday morning His Excellency the Governor officially opened the inaugural Kate Rhodes OAM Memorial Conference ‘Widows helping Widows' at The Donato Function Centre, Woodville Gardens.

On Monday evening at Government House His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted a reception for the presentation of the 2012 South Australian Health Aboriginal Scholarships.

Afterwards the Governor and Mrs Scarce attended the Lord Mayoral reception to mark the launch of the ANZ Innovyz START program hosted by the Adelaide City Council at the Adelaide Town Hall.

On Sunday morning at Calvary North Adelaide Hospital, Mrs Scarce addressed the gathering at The Mary Potter Hospice Foundation "Walk for Love event", after which the Governor and Mrs Scarce participated in the walk.

On Saturday evening AAMI Stadium, West Lakes, His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce, as guests of the Adelaide Football Club, attended the match between Adelaide and Collingwood.

Later the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted a reception for the presentation of the 2012 Charles Allan Seymour Hawker Scholarships.

In the evening at the Torrens Parade Ground, the Governor and Mrs Scarce, who is patron, attended the event "A promise for life - Guiding the way, past, present and future", in celebration of the centenary of Girl Guides South Australia.

Afterwards at the Festival Function Centre at Findon, the Governor, as patron, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, addressed the guests at the Bowls SA Awards Night.

On Thursday morning at Government House His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

In the afternoon the Governor received Mr David Travers, Chief Executive of University College London School of Energy and Resources, Australia.

In the evening the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted a reception to thank volunteers and supporters of Nature Foundation SA.

Afterwards the Governor attended the funeral for the late Mr Francesco Totino at Christ the King Church, Lockleys.

In the evening at Government House the Governor, as patron, and Mrs Scarce hosted a reception for the presentation of awards for the Royal Geographical Society of South Australia.

Afterwards at the South Australia Museum the Governor and Mrs Scarce attended a reception to celebrate the formal protection of the Arkaroola Wilderness Sanctuary.

On Tuesday evening His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce attended Coopers Brewery's 150th Birthday celebration at Regatta's Bistro, Adelaide.

On Sunday morning His Excellency the Administrator, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, officially opened the two exhibitions ‘King of Salt and Stone - The Alchemical Manuscripts' by Mr Johnny Darko and ‘Arthearts' by Ms Victoria Edgar at Greenhill Galleries, North Adelaide.

In the afternoon, the Administrator, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, addressed the gathering at the Annual Fundraising High Tea hosted by the Mary Mackillop Foundation at the Hilton Adelaide.

Between 1:30 pm on Saturday until 4:30 pm on Sunday, His Excellency the Governor acted as Administrator of the Government of the Commonwealth. By the appointment of the Governor, the Lieutenant Governor, Mr Hieu Van Le AO, was Governor's Deputy during this period.

On Saturday morning, His Excellency the Governor, as co-patron, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, addressed guests at the Aboriginal Power Cup Official Team Breakfast at AAMI Stadium. Afterwards the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, tossed the coin and watched the Aboriginal Power Cup Grand Finals, followed by trophy presentations.

Afterwards, the Governor, as patron, presented guernseys at the carnival opening of the 2012 Aboriginal Power Cup at Alberton Oval.

On Wednesday morning at Government House His Excellency the Governor, as patron of The South Australian Sea Rescue Squadron, received Mr Myles Cundy, Commodore and Mr John Burrow, Vice Commodore, and Mr Peter Collins, Author of "Extracts of Memorabilia".

In the afternoon the Governor, as patron, and Mrs Scarce hosted a reception for the Lions Medical Research Foundation.

In the evening the Governor, as a White Ribbon Ambassador, and Mrs Scarce attended the public performance of the play "I look into the darkness around me" at the Holden Street Theatres, Hindmarsh.
