On Saturday evening His Excellency the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, addressed the gathering at the reunion dinner of the January 1967 Entry Naval Apprentices at the Barossa Weintal Resort, Tanunda.

On Friday morning His Excellency the Governor, as patron of Minda, participated and presented trophies and awards at the 2012 Minda/Adelaide Development Company Corporate Golf Challenge at the Glenelg Golf Club.

In the evening the Governor, as patron of Down Syndrome South Australia, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, addressed the gathering at a cocktail party hosted by Down Syndrome South Australia and KPMG South Australia following the organisation's Annual General Meeting.

Later the Governor presented awards at the 2012 South Australian Engineering Excellence Awards Black Tie Ball, hosted by Engineers Australia at the Hilton Hotel.

On Thursday morning at Government House His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

In the morning Mrs Scarce, as a guest of the Modbury Palliative Care Service, toured the Modbury Hospice Unit, followed by a morning tea.

Afterwards at the Adelaide Airport, the Governor, as a guest of Emirates, attended the pre-launch of the airline's non-stop service between Adelaide and Dubai.

In the afternoon at Government House, His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted a reception for the South Australian Indigenous Youth Leadership Program participants.

Later the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, presented awards at the ‘Australian Year of the Farmer' dinner hosted by Alexandrina Council at the Goolwa Aquatic Club.

On Wednesday morning His Excellency the Governor, as Chief Patron, attended the scosa Plympton Hub's 1st Birthday celebration.

In the afternoon the Governor received Mr Darren Thomas, member of the Economic Development Board.

In the evening the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted a reception for Year 12 students representing their schools.

Later the Governor officially opened the 39th Australian Mushroom Growers Conference, and Mrs Scarce officially launched the AMGA Pink Campaign at a dinner at Adelaide TAFE Graduates Restaurant in Regency Park.

In the morning at Government House His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

In the afternoon at Government House Mrs Scarce received Dr Mary Brooksbank AM, Chairman and          Mrs Tracey Watters, Executive Officer, The Palliative Care Council of South Australia.

Later His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce visited the Stardust Castle and met with volunteers associated with the Credit Union Christmas Pageant.

In the evening at the State Library of South Australia, His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce attended a Gala Dinner with special guest Mr Jack Thompson AM, hosted by the State Library of South Australia Foundation.

On Wednesday morning at Government House His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

Afterwards at Government House His Excellency the Governor received Mr Paul Edginton, Chief Executive Officer, Service to Youth Council.

Later His Excellency the Governor attended the Morning Melodies community event ‘Everybody Sings', hosted by the Adelaide Festival Centre in partnership with ACH Group.

In the afternoon the Governor, as patron of Defence Teaming Centre, addressed the gathering at the October meeting of the South Australian Defence Industry Leadership Program at the Naval, Military & Air Force Club.

Later at Government House, His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce, hosted a reception to launch the 2012 Adelaide Fashion Festival.

On Tuesday morning His Excellency the Governor, as patron of the Carers Association of South Australia, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, officially opened the Carers SA State Office at Wayville, followed by morning tea and a tour of the building.

In the afternoon Mrs Scarce, as President of the Australian Red Cross - South Australia Division, officially opened the annual State Conference at Red Cross House, Adelaide.

Later in the afternoon at Government House the Governor received members of the Legislative Council for the presentation of the new President of the Legislative Council.

On Saturday evening His Excellency the Governor, as patron of the Legacy Club of Adelaide, and Mrs Scarce attended the Legacy Annual Dinner at the Kooyonga Golf Club, Lockleys.

On Friday afternoon His Excellency the Governor, as patron of the Royal Agricultural and Horticultural Society of South Australia, attended the 2012 Royal Adelaide Show Official Luncheon at the Adelaide Showground.

In the evening at Government House, the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted a reception to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Open Gardens Australia.

Later the Governor and Mrs Scarce attended the performance of 'Fearless Nadia' at the Adelaide Festival Centre.

On Thursday morning at Government House His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

In the afternoon the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted a luncheon for Mr Arun Kumar Goel, Consul-General of India for Australia and Mrs Alka Goel.  Other guests included Dr Bob Johnson, Chairman of Havilah Resources NL; Mr Raymond Spencer, Chairman of the Economic Development Board South Australia, and Mr Terry Kallis, Managing Director of Petratherm Limited.

Later the Governor, as patron of the Clipper Ship ‘City of Adelaide' Preservation Trust, received Mr David Mitchell, Director of Conservation and Ms Lisa Nicholson, Director of Communications, Historic Scotland; and Mr Peter Roberts and Mr Tom Chapman, Directors of Clipper Ship ‘City of Adelaide'.

Afterwards the Governor received Mr Robert Gerard AO, as co-patrons of The Duke of Edinburgh's Award in Australia, South Australian Division.

In the morning students from Flagstaff Hill R-7 School toured Government House.

On Wednesday in Yunta, His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce continued their Vice-Regal visit to the North Eastern Region with a visit to Teetulpa Station, before returning to Adelaide in the evening.

On Tuesday His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce continued their Vice-Regal visit to the North Eastern Region with a visit to Yunta Rural School, followed by a tour of Yunta Rural Transaction Centre and a morning tea with members of the community, before departing for Cockburn.

In the afternoon the Governor and Mrs Scarce, as guests of the Cockburn Progress Association, attended a luncheon at the Coburn Hotel, followed by a tour of the Post Office, water supply and other community facilities.

Later at the Broken Hill RSL Hall, the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, as patron of the Legacy Club of Adelaide, addressed the gathering at an afternoon tea with members of the Broken Hill Legacy Group.

In the morning in Adelaide, students from Clapham Primary School toured Government House.

On Monday afternoon the Governor and Mrs Scarce visited the Burra Regional Art Gallery.

On Monday morning, His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce commenced their Vice-Regal visit to the North Eastern Region with a visit to the Burra Men's Shed, where the Governor unveiled an honour board, followed by a visit to Burra Community School, a Council morning tea at the Gaslight Coffee Shop, and a tour of the Adchem Australia facilities.

In the afternoon at the Burra Town Hall, the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, addressed the guests at the Council luncheon hosted by His Worship the Mayor of the District Council of Goyder, Mr Peter Mattey, followed by a visit to Peterborough Primary School.

Afterwards the Governor and Mrs Scarce toured the Steamtown Heritage Rail Centre, and the Peterborough Hospital, followed by a visit to the Peterborough Council Chambers.

In the morning community volunteers toured Government House.

On Sunday afternoon the Governor and Mrs Scarce departed Adelaide for a regional Vice-Regal visit.

His Excellency the Governor has appointed the Lieutenant Governor, Mr Hieu Van Le AO, as Governor's Deputy from 3:30 pm on Sunday 9th September until 7:00 pm on Wednesday 12th September 2012 during his regional Vice-Regal visit.

On Saturday morning at Government House His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce received Mr and Mrs B Hale.

In the afternoon the Governor and Mrs Scarce, as guests of the South Australian Public Primary Schools Music Society, attended the 2012 Festival of Music Series Concert at the Adelaide Festival Centre.

On Friday morning His Excellency and Mrs Scarce were guests of honour at the One Millionth Birthing Kit Celebration Breakfast hosted by Zonta International and the Birthing Kit Foundation of Australia at the Adelaide Festival Centre.

Afterwards the Governor, as patron of the South Australian National Football League, attended the Adelaide Oval for a site inspection.

Later His Excellency the Governor, as patron of Cora Barclay Centre, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, officially opened The Children's Charity Listening and Speech Centre in North Adelaide.

On Thursday morning at Government House His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

Afterwards at Government House His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted an Investiture ceremony and reception for recipients of Australian Honours.

After the ceremony the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted a luncheon for Vice Admiral Ray Griggs AO CSC RAN, Chief of the Royal Australian Navy.

In the evening at Government House, His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted a reception for participants in the Endeavour Australia Cheung Kong Scholarship Program.

On Wednesday morning at Government House His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted an Investiture ceremony and reception for recipients of Australian Honours, including the Public Service, Australian Fire Service, Ambulance Service, and Emergency Services Medals.  After the ceremony the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted a luncheon. Guests included Mr Greg Nettleton, Chief Officer, SA Country Fire Service; Mr Chris Beattie, Chief Officer, State Emergency Service SA and Mrs Melanie Beattie; Ms Bev Smart, representing the SA Representative to the Council for the Order of Australia and the Honorary Aides-de-Camp to the Governor who assisted at the ceremony.

In the evening at the Adelaide Convention Centre, the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, addressed the gathering at the 4th Annual Retail Executive Industry Forum and Graduation and launched the SA Retail Indigenous Employment Upskilling Project, Tita Yangdalitya.

On Tuesday morning at Government House His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted an Investiture ceremony and reception for recipients of Australian Honours. After the ceremony the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted a luncheon. Guests included Mr H V Le AO, Lieutenant Governor of SA; Air Commodore Noel Derwort CSC, Senior Defence Force Representative - SA and Ms Pauline Koitka; Colonel Peter Moore, representing the Army Area Representative - SA and Mrs Helen Moore; Lieutenant Carl Jordan RAN, representing the Navy Headquarters Representative - SA; Mr Gary Burns BM APM, Commissioner of South Australia Police and the Honorary Aides-de-Camp to the Governor who assisted at the ceremony.

In the evening at the Telstra Building, Adelaide, the Governor, addressed the guests at the Behind Closed Doors Connexion event.

In the afternoon His Excellency the Governor received MBDA Incorporated representatives Mr John Head, Commercial Executive Sales and Business Development, Mr Greville Kirk, Senior Advisor Industrial Participation, Mr Dan O'Connor, First Secretary Defence Equipment Cooperation, who were accompanied by Mr John Teager, General Manager, Defence and Industry Development, Defence SA.

In the evening at Government House, His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted a dinner.  Guests included Mr Nick Mitzevich, Director, Art Gallery of South Australia, and Mr Rainer Jozeps, Chief Executive Officer, Legacy Club of Adelaide and Ms Kate Gould.

On Sunday morning His Excellency the Governor, as patron of Novita Children's Services, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, officially launched and participated in the 2012 ‘Walk With Me' event at Botanic Park.

On Saturday morning His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce attended a Physics History Symposium at the Napier Building, hosted by the University of Adelaide - School of Chemistry and Physics.

In the evening the Governor and Mrs Scarce as guests of South Australia Police Legacy Incorporated, attended the inaugural South Australia Police Legacy Spring Ball at the Stamford Grand Hotel, Glenelg.

On Friday morning His Excellency the Governor met with Mr Andrew Fletcher, Chief Executive Officer, Defence SA.

On Friday afternoon at the Glenelg Golf Club, His Excellency the Governor, as patron of the Legacy Club of Adelaide Inc, presented the Governor's Cup and other trophies to the winners of the 64th Annual Legacy Governor's Cup.

In the evening at the Ayers House, the Governor, as patron, and Mrs Scarce attended the annual dinner of The Pioneers Association of South Australia.

On Thursday morning at Government House His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

Afterwards the Governor chaired the Carnegie Mellon University - Australia Development Committee meeting in the Torrens Building, Victoria Square, Adelaide.

In the afternoon at Government House the Governor received Mr Steve Di Cola, Business Development Manager of Carnegie Mellon University - Heinz College Australia.

In the evening the Governor hosted a reception for the presentation of the 2012 Australia Business Arts Foundation Awards.

Later the Governor, as a guest of the Royal Australian Air Force, addressed the guests at the Mess dinner to commemorate the 20th Anniversary of the Aircraft Stores Compatibility Engineering Squadron.

On Wednesday morning His Excellency the Governor took part in the be active Corporate Cup Challenge with the Government House staff team.

Afterwards the Governor, as patron of The Repat Foundation, officially opened the 2012 South Australian Defence and Veteran Health Research Paper Day at the Repatriation General Hospital.

In the afternoon at Government House the Governor received Rear Admiral Bob Love CB OBE, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Babcock International Group, Marine & Technology Division.

Afterwards the Governor received Mr Hieu Van Le AO, Lieutenant Governor of South Australia.

In the evening at the Robin Hood Hotel, Norwood, the Governor, as patron of The English-Speaking Union SA Branch, attended a dinner in celebration of their 89th anniversary and the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.

On Tuesday morning at Government House His Excellency the Governor hosted a reception for the presentation of the 2012 Churchill Fellowship Awards.

In the evening the Governor hosted a farewell dinner for Professor Peter Høj, Vice Chancellor and President of the University of South Australia.  Guests included Professor Mandy Thomas; Dr Ian Gould AM, Chancellor, University of South Australia and Mrs Christine Gould; Mr Raymond Garrand, Chief Executive of the Department of Further Education, Employment, Science and Technology and Mrs Tania Garrand; Miss Stine Høj and Mr Nick Heath, and Mr Torbjorn Van Heeswijck and Dr Robyn Seto.

In the afternoon at Government House, His Excellency the Governor received Sir Eric Neal AC CVO and Mr Bill Denny AM, Co-Chairmen of the South Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island War Memorial Committee.

On Saturday afternoon at AAMI Stadium, West Lakes, His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce, as guests of the Port Adelaide Football Club, attended the President's Official Function before watching the match between Port Adelaide and Brisbane.

In the evening at West Beach, the Governor, as patron of The South Australian Sea Rescue Squadron, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, presented trophies at the annual Awards Presentation Dinner.

On Friday morning His Excellency the Governor, as a guest of the Carnegie Mellon University - Heinz College Australia, addressed the gathering and presented parchments at the Graduating Students' Ceremony at the RiAus Science Exchange, Adelaide.

In the afternoon the Governor, as patron, addressed the guests at the Leveda Business Lunch at the Concubine on Gouger Street, Adelaide.

In the evening the Governor addressed the students and guests at the annual Da Costa House Dinner at St Peter's College.

Later at the Adelaide Town Hall, the Governor and Mrs Scarce attended the Welcome Home Civic Reception for the 2012 Australian Olympic Team, hosted by The Honourable Jay Weatherill MP, Premier of South Australia and The Right Honourable the Lord Mayor of the City of Adelaide, Mr Stephen Yarwood.

In the afternoon at Kent Town, the Governor, as a guest of Seeley International, attended a corporate luncheon in support of Hands On SA.

In the evening at the Adelaide Convention Centre, the Governor, as patron of the Council for International Trade and Commerce South Australia (CITCSA), attended the Connections Networking Night, hosted by the Chinese Chamber of Commerce SA and the CITCSA.
