On Monday afternoon at Government House His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce, who is patron of the Children's Week Association of South Australia, hosted a reception for the presentation of Children's Week Awards.

On Sunday morning at the River Torrens, Adelaide, His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce met with participants and volunteers at the Trojan's Trek organised by the Royal Australian Regiment Association South Australia.

Afterwards the Governor, as patron of the Sporting Car Club of South Australia, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, viewed vehicles at the ‘101 Years of Motoring' display at the Torrens Parade Ground.

On Saturday afternoon His Excellency the Governor accompanied Mrs Scarce, who is patron of the Rose Society of South Australia, at the official opening of the Spring Show of Roses at the Burnside Community Centre.

On Friday morning His Excellency the Governor met with Mr Andrew Fletcher, Chief Executive Officer, Defence SA.

In the morning, Mrs Scarce, as patron of the Children's Week Association of South Australia, addressed the gathering at the official launch of 2012 Children's Week at West Lakes Shore Primary School.

Later His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce attended the Resthaven Open Day at Malvern.

In the afternoon at Government House His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted a reception to welcome delegates attending the 2012 National Conference of The Victoria League for Commonwealth Friendship.

Afterwards at Government House, His Excellency the Governor received the Honourable John Gazzola MLC, President of the Legislative Council.

In the late afternoon His Excellency the Governor, as patron of Parkinson's South Australia, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, attended the Putt for Parkinson's dinner and auction at the Blackwood Golf Club.

In the morning at Government House His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

In the afternoon at Government House Mrs Scarce received Dr Mary Brooksbank AM, Chairman and          Mrs Tracey Watters, Executive Officer, The Palliative Care Council of South Australia.

Later His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce visited the Stardust Castle and met with volunteers associated with the Credit Union Christmas Pageant.

In the evening at the State Library of South Australia, His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce attended a Gala Dinner with special guest Mr Jack Thompson AM, hosted by the State Library of South Australia Foundation.

Later His Excellency the Governor attended the Morning Melodies community event ‘Everybody Sings', hosted by the Adelaide Festival Centre in partnership with ACH Group.

In the afternoon the Governor, as patron of Defence Teaming Centre, addressed the gathering at the October meeting of the South Australian Defence Industry Leadership Program at the Naval, Military & Air Force Club.

Later at Government House, His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce, hosted a reception to launch the 2012 Adelaide Fashion Festival.

On Tuesday morning His Excellency the Governor, as patron of the Carers Association of South Australia, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, officially opened the Carers SA State Office at Wayville, followed by morning tea and a tour of the building.

In the afternoon Mrs Scarce, as President of the Australian Red Cross - South Australia Division, officially opened the annual State Conference at Red Cross House, Adelaide.

Later in the afternoon at Government House the Governor received members of the Legislative Council for the presentation of the new President of the Legislative Council.

On Monday morning at North Adelaide Mrs Scarce, as patron of Ronald McDonald House Adelaide, toured the facilities and attended a morning tea with families.

In the afternoon at Government House His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

In the evening in Adelaide the Governor, as patron of The Leaders Institute of South Australia, addressed the guests at the 2000, 2001, and 2002 Fellows anniversary celebration.

Students from Flagstaff Hill R-7 School toured Government House.

On Sunday afternoon at the Port Adelaide Football Club, the Governor, as patron, and Mrs Scarce attended the 30th Birthday celebration and official launch of the SASRAPID Strategic Plan 'Growth and Renewal'.

On Saturday afternoon His Excellency the Governor, as Deputy Prior of St John Ambulance Australia SA, addressed the gathering and presented awards at the 2012 Awards Day Ceremony in the grounds of Government House.

In the evening the Governor and Mrs Scarce, as guests of the State Opera of South Australia, attended the opening night performance of Fidelio at the Adelaide Festival Theatre.

On Friday morning His Excellency the Governor, as patron of the South Australian Sports Federation, and Mrs Scarce, attended the 2012 Adelaide Shores/Sport SA Annual Partners and Members Breakfast and Sport SA Award Finalist announcement at Lockleys Bowling Club.

Afterwards the Governor and Mrs Scarce, as guests of the Sturt Football Club, attended the 10th Anniversary Memorial Service of the Bali Bombings at St Augustine's Anglican Church, Unley, and laid a wreath at the Bali Tragedy Memorial Garden at Unley Oval.

In the afternoon at Government House the Governor received Commander Simon Cannell RAN, Commanding Officer of HMAS Parramatta and Commander Alan Williams ADC RAN, Commanding Officer of Navy Headquarters - South Australia.

In the evening the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, addressed international students at the Valedictory Garden Party hosted by Education Adelaide in the grounds of Government House.

Later at the Techport Common User Facility in Osborne, the Governor and Mrs Scarce, as guests of the Royal Australian Navy - Navy Headquarters South Australia, attended a reception onboard HMAS Parramatta.

On Thursday morning His Excellency the Governor, as patron of The Royal Society for the Blind of SA, and Mrs Scarce participated in the 2012 Dark to Light Walk.

Afterwards at Government House His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

Later in the KPMG Board Room, Adelaide, the Governor, as patron of the South Australian Sports Federation, attended the 2012 KPMG South Australian Sport Hall of Fame Announcement.

In the afternoon Mrs Scarce, as patron of The Palliative Care Council of South Australia, attended a lecture to mark World Hospice and Palliative Care Day, jointly hosted by The Bob Hawke Prime Ministerial Centre and Palliative Care Council of South Australia at the University of South Australia.

In the evening at Government House the Governor, as patron, and Mrs Scarce hosted a reception to thank supporters of The Royal Society for the Blind of SA on World Sight Day.

In the morning students from St John's Lutheran School toured Government House.

On Wednesday morning His Excellency the Governor took part in the be active Corporate Cup Challenge with the Government House staff team.

Later at Government House the Governor convened the interview process for the selection of the 2013 Rhodes Scholar for South Australia. The Selection Committee included Mr M Mussared, Mr W Jackson, Ms J McLean and Ms S Kelly and was attended by Professor G Hutchinson AM, General Secretary of Rhodes Scholarships in Australia; and The Honourable John Doyle AC, Deputy Chair, and Ms M Seppelt, Honorary Secretary of SA Rhodes Scholarship Selection Committee.

In the evening the Governor hosted a reception for the announcement of the Rhodes Scholar for 2013.

On Tuesday morning at Government House His Excellency the Governor received Mr Marc Colquhoun, Managing Director of ourSA.

In the afternoon the Governor received Professor Terry Buss, Executive Director of the Carnegie Mellon University - Australia.

In the evening the Governor hosted a dinner for the South Australian Rhodes Scholarship Selection Committee members and short-listed candidates.

Professor Graham Hutchinson AM, General Secretary for Rhodes Scholarships in Australia, arrived to stay at Government House.

On Monday morning community volunteers toured Government House.
