On Friday at the Old Gum Tree Reserve, Glenelg North, His Excellency the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, addressed the gathering at the 176th Proclamation Day ceremony as guests of the Mayor of the City of Holdfast Bay, Dr K Rollonds.

On Friday morning His Excellency the Governor, as patron, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, presented awards to recipients at the 2012 Awards Ceremony of the Phoenix Society at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre.

On Thursday morning at Government House His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council. Afterwards, the Governor hosted a morning tea for the Clerks of the Executive Council in appreciation of their service in 2012.

Later the Governor attended the Graduation Ceremony for the University of South Australia at the Adelaide Convention Centre.

In the afternoon at Government House the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted a Christmas luncheon for their staff in appreciation of the contribution made by them to the office of the Governor throughout the year.

On Wednesday morning at Government House His Excellency the Governor, as patron, received Brigadier Tim Hanna AM, President of The Returned & Services League of Australia (SA Branch).

In the afternoon the Governor, as Honorary Member of the Rotary Club of Adelaide, attended the Club's Christmas luncheon at the Adelaide Oval.

Later at Government House the Governor, as patron, received Mr Kerry Eichner, representing the President; Mr Noel Biggins, Secretary and Captain David Prior, Committee Member of the 7th Battalion Royal Australian Regiment Association - South Australian Branch.

In the evening the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted a reception to welcome participants of the 2012 Aboriginal Summer School for Excellence in Technology and Science.

On Tuesday morning at Government House His Excellency the Governor received Mr Simon Forrest, Chair and Mr Darren Adamson, General Manager of Power Community Ltd, the community development arm of the Port Adelaide Football Club.

In the afternoon the Governor participated in the selection panel for the Governor's SACE Commendation with members of the SACE Board of South Australia, which included the Chair Dr Paul Kilvert, and Mr Rick Cairney, Mr Kym Grant, Dr Antonio Mercurio, Ms Pam Ronan, Mrs Helen Trebilcock and Ms Lise Windsor.

On Monday afternoon, His Excellency the Governor hosted Mr James Bruce, the British Honorary Consul for South Australia, for lunch at the Adelaide Club.

On Sunday afternoon the Governor and Mrs Scarce attended a luncheon hosted by Mr Philip Speakman, Chairman of the Australian British Chamber of Commerce in South Australia at Willunga.

In the evening the Governor, as patron, and Mrs Scarce hosted a reception at Government House for organisers, major sponsors and beneficiaries of the Woolworths Carols by Candlelight, before attending the Woolworths Carols by Candlelight Concert at Elder Park.

On Saturday afternoon His Excellency the Governor, as patron of SwimmingSA, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, opened the State Long Course Championships at the SA Aquatic & Leisure Centre, Oaklands Park.

On Friday morning at Government House His Excellency the Governor received Mr Bill Lowther SC, National Vice President of the Australian Bravery Association.

In the evening the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted a dinner for his Honorary Aides-de-Camp in appreciation of the contribution made by them to the office of the Governor in 2012.

On Thursday morning at Government House His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

Afterwards the Governor received Mr Russell Boyd from Penfield Golf Club.

In the afternoon the Governor and Mrs Scarce were joined for lunch by Mr Hieu Le AO, Lieutenant Governor of South Australia and Mrs Lan Le, and The Honourable Chief Justice Chris Kourakis, Chief Justice of South Australia.

Later the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted a reception to acknowledge the Year 11 and 12 schooling achievements of young people under the guardianship of the Minister for Education and Child Development.

In the evening the Governor and Mrs Scarce attended the Lord Mayor's Christmas reception at the Adelaide Town Hall.

On Wednesday morning His Excellency the Governor concluded his Vice-Regal visit to Port Pirie and the Copper Coast and returned to Adelaide.

Later at Government House the Governor received the Honourable Lyn Breuer MP, Speaker of the House of Assembly.

In the afternoon at Catherine House in Adelaide, Mrs Scarce, as patron, presented awards at the Education and Employment Program Graduation Day.

In the evening the Governor and Mrs Scarce attended the annual South Australia Police Christmas Concert at the Adelaide Town Hall.

On Tuesday His Excellency the Governor departed Adelaide for a regional Vice-Regal visit to Port Pirie and the Copper Coast. In the morning the Governor, as a guest of His Worship the Mayor of The Port Pirie Regional Council, Mr Brenton Vanstone, attended a morning tea in the Port Pirie Council Chambers, followed by driving tour of new town development projects and infrastructure in Port Pirie.

Afterwards the Governor toured the Mid North Christian College, including the facilities for its Aviation Studies program. In the afternoon at the Royal Port Pirie Yacht Club, the Governor, as a guest of His Worship the Mayor, attended a luncheon with members of the Port Pirie Regional Council and other community leaders.

In the evening in Kadina, the Governor addressed the gathering and presented awards to students at Harvest Christian School Presentation Evening, before proceeding to Wallaroo.

On Monday afternoon at Government House His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

In the evening the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, presented the inaugural Award for Muslim and non-Muslim Understanding at a reception at the University of South Australia, City West Campus.

Later at St Peter's Cathedral, the Governor, as patron of the Special Interest Music Centres in South Australia, and Mrs Scarce delivered readings at the annual Festival of Lessons and Carols Service of Brighton Secondary School.

In the morning community volunteers toured Government House.

On Sunday afternoon at the Riverside Rowing Club on the Torrens, the Governor, as patron of the Far East Strategic Reserve Navy Association (Australia), and Mrs Scarce met with SA & NT Division members following their Christmas Luncheon.

On Saturday evening, as guests of the Greek Orthodox Community of South Australia, His Excellency the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, addressed the gathering at the opening of the George Street Greek Festival at Thebarton.

On Friday morning His Excellency the Governor attended the graduation ceremony of the University College London - School of Energy and Resources, Australia at RiAus, Adelaide.

In the afternoon at Government House, the Governor, as patron of The Duke of Edinburgh's Award in South Australia, and Mrs Scarce, hosted a reception for the presentation of the 2012 Duke of Edinburgh's Gold Awards.

On Thursday morning at Government House His Excellency the Governor met with Mr Andrew Fletcher, Chief Executive of Defence SA.

Afterwards the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

In the afternoon the Governor attended the Carnegie Mellon University - Australia Development Committee meeting in the Torrens Building, Adelaide.

In the evening at Government House the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted a reception to thank supporters of Trojan's Trek.

Later the Governor attended a Gala Symposium Dinner at Braggs' House, hosted by the University of Adelaide - School of Chemistry and Physics.

On Wednesday morning at Government House His Excellency the Governor received Mr Tony Piccolo MP, Deputy Speaker of the House of Assembly.

Afterwards the Governor received the Honourable John Gazzola MLC, President of the Legislative Council.

Later at the Royal Thai Consulate General in Adelaide, the Governor attended the 85th anniversary celebration of the birth of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

In the afternoon the Governor, as patron, attended the Christmas luncheon of the South Australian Association of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire at the Naval, Military & Air Force Club.

On Tuesday morning in Adelaide, His Excellency the Governor, as patron, attended a Christmas morning tea with members of the Tubercular Soldiers' Aid Society of South Australia.

On Monday morning His Excellency the Governor officially opened the 30th Annual Australian Institute of Occupational Hygienists Conference at the Adelaide Convention Centre.

In the afternoon at Government House the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted a reception to welcome delegates attending the 6th International Conference and Workshop on the Built Environment in Developing Countries.

In the evening at Salisbury, the Governor, as patron of Leveda, addressed members at the meeting of the 'People First' Board Subcommittee, followed by a visit to the accommodation service at Salisbury North, in celebration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

On Sunday evening at the Adelaide Convention Centre, His Excellency the Governor, addressed the gathering and opened the Asian Crystallography Association and the Society of Crystallographers in Australia and New Zealand Conference hosted by The University of Adelaide - School of Chemistry and Physics.

On Friday morning His Excellency the Governor, as patron of Asbestos Diseases Society of South Australia Incorporated, attended the Asbestos Victims Memorial Day Service at the Jack Watkins Memorial Reserve, Kilburn.

Afterwards His Excellency the Governor met with the Department of Education and Child Development Northern Adelaide Region Self Review Panel at the Northern Adelaide Regional Office.

On Monday at Government House Mrs Scarce hosted an afternoon tea for residents of Resthaven Malvern.

In the evening His Excellency the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, presented awards at the Playford Alive Local Heroes Awards Night at the Playford Civic Centre, Elizabeth.

On Sunday afternoon at Hawthorn, the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, launched the book in celebration of the Hawthorn Bowling Club's centenary.

On Saturday afternoon His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce attended the Australian International 3 Day Event at Victoria Park, Adelaide.

In the evening at the Freemasons' Hall, Adelaide, the Governor and Mrs Scarce, as guests of the Supreme Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons of South Australia and the Northern Territory, attended a dinner to mark the 100th Anniversary of The United Collegians Chapter of Royal Arch Masons.
