On Tuesday evening at Government House His Excellency the Governor, as patron, hosted a reception for The Partners of Veterans Association of Australia - South Australia Branch Inc.

In the morning, Year 7 students from Cowell Area School toured Government House.

On Friday morning His Excellency the Governor met with Mr Andrew Fletcher, Chief Executive Officer, Defence SA.

Afterwards the Governor viewed the "Once upon a time" exhibition by Patricia Piccinini at the Art Gallery of South Australia.

In the evening at Government House the Governor, as patron, and Mrs Scarce hosted a reception in celebration of the centenary of The Victoria League for Commonwealth Friendship South Australia Inc.

Later the Governor and Mrs Scarce, who is patron of Ronald McDonald House Adelaide, jointly opened the new building at North Adelaide.

On Thursday morning His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

Afterwards the Governor and Mrs Scarce, as guests of The Hospital Research Foundation, toured The Basil Hetzel Institute for Medical Research at Woodville.

In the afternoon the Governor and Mrs Scarce received Group Captain Christopher Carruthers, Royal Australian Air Force outgoing Senior Defence Force Representative - South Australia and Mrs Linda Carruthers.

In the evening the Governor, as patron of the Special Interest Music Centres in South Australia, and Mrs Scarce attended the opening of the Brighton Performing Arts Centre at Brighton Secondary School.

On Tuesday morning at Government House His Excellency the Governor received Colonel Mick Burgess, newly appointed Army Area Representative of the Australian Army - HQ 9th Brigade.

Afterwards the Governor viewed the 'Images of the Interior' exhibition at The South Australian Museum.

In the evening at Government House the Governor, as patron, and Mrs Scarce hosted a reception for the presentation of awards for the Royal Geographical Society of South Australia Inc.

Later the Governor and Mrs Scarce, as guests of the Australian Veterinary Association (AVA) Limited, attended the 2011 AVA Board VIP Dinner at the State Library of South Australia.

In the afternoon Year 11 students from Samaritan College toured Government House.

On Monday evening His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted a dinner at Government House.  Guests included Commodore B Willis RANR & Mrs H Willis, Commander R Pritchard RANR & Mrs D Pritchard and Captain M Proctor RANR & Mrs M Proctor.

On Saturday morning at Government House His Excellency the Governor received His Excellency Mr Chen Yuming, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China, accompanied by Mr Zhang Wei, Counsellor and Consul-General, and Mr Chen Jiliang, Third Secretary, Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Australia.

On Friday morning His Excellency the Governor departed Yankaninna Station for Kadina.

In the afternoon, as a guest of His Worship the Mayor of the District Council of the Copper Coast, Mr Paul Thomas, the Governor attended events associated with the Kernewek Lowender Festival, including the Art exhibition at the Ascot Theatre Gallery, Kadina, the "Gathering of the Bards" at Davies Square, Wallaroo, and the displays at the Wallaroo Nautical Museum, before returning to Adelaide.

In the afternoon in Adelaide, Mrs Scarce, as a guest of the SA Ambulance Service, addressed the gathering at the National Volunteer Week Luncheon at the Morphett Arms Hotel, Glengowrie and attended the Volunteer Afternoon Tea at Resthaven Incorporated at Malvern.

On Thursday His Excellency the Governor, as patron of the Operation Flinders Foundation Inc, continued to participate in the outdoors program for young people conducted by the Foundation, and later joined volunteers and staff for the evening meal at Yankaninna Station.

On Thursday morning in Adelaide, His Excellency Mr Hieu Van Le AO, as Governor's Deputy, presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

On Wednesday morning His Excellency the Governor, as patron of the Operation Flinders Foundation Inc, arrived at Yankaninna Station to join young people participating in the walking and camping activities associated with the program.

On Tuesday afternoon His Excellency the Governor travelled to Parachilna in preparation for participation in activities associated with the Operation Flinders Foundation Inc, of which he is patron.

The Governor has appointed the Lieutenant Governor, Mr Hieu Van Le AO as Governor's Deputy from 10:00 am on Tuesday 10th May until 6:00 pm on Friday 13th May 2011.

On Wednesday evening at Government House His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted a reception to welcome guests attending the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons 80th Annual Scientific Congress in Adelaide.

On Friday evening at Government House, the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted a dinner for The Honourable Karlene Maywald, Mr Dean Maywald and Miss Tilly Maywald, who remained overnight as houseguests.

Afterwards at the Hilton Adelaide the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, addressed the gathering at a lunch on the occasion of the 6th National Reunion of the Royal Australian Navy Communications Branch Association.

Later the Governor and Mrs Scarce attended the Australian National Band Championships Adelaide 2011 Grand ANZAC Day concert at the Adelaide Town Hall

On Sunday evening at the State National War Memorial, the Governor attended the ANZAC Eve Memorial Vigil Ceremony, as a guest of The Returned & Services League of Australia (SA Branch) Inc and the ANZAC Eve Youth Vigil Committee.

On Saturday, as guests of the Oakbank Racing Club Inc, His Excellency the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, presented trophies to the winning connections at the 2011 Easter Racing Carnival at Oakbank Racecourse.
