On Sunday afternoon the Governor, as co-patron, and Mrs Scarce attended the Aboriginal Power Cup reception and grand final at AAMI Stadium.

Afterwards the Governor and Mrs Scarce, as guests of the Adelaide Youth Orchestra Inc, attended the 10th anniversary gala concert Celebrazione at the Adelaide Town Hall.

On Saturday evening at the Hilton Adelaide, His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce, as guests of the Co-ordinating Italian Committee Inc, attended the 150th anniversary celebrations of the unification of Italy.

On Friday morning at Government House His Excellency the Governor met with Mr Andrew Fletcher, Chief Executive Officer, Defence SA.

Afterwards the Governor, as co-patron, attended the opening of the 2011 Aboriginal Power Cup carnival at Alberton Oval.

In the evening the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, addressed the guests and presented guernseys at the Aboriginal Power Cup official team dinner at AAMI Stadium.

Afterwards at Government House the Governor, as patron, and Mrs Scarce hosted a supper for the Australian Refugee Association Inc.  Guests included the Right Honourable John Malcolm Fraser AC CH,  former Prime Minister of Australia; Mr HV Le AO, Lieutenant Governor of South Australia & Mrs L Le; Mr D Linn, President & Mrs L Linn; Mr P Engelhardt,  Board Member & Mrs B Engelhardt and Mr P Laintoll,  Chief Executive & Mrs M Laintoll.

On Thursday morning the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

Afterwards at Government House the Governor received Mr Julian Sawicki, Chief Executive of UnitingCare Wesley Bowden Inc.

Later the Governor received Mr Hieu Van Le AO, Lieutenant Governor of South Australia.

In the evening the Governor received The Honourable Mike Rann MP, Premier of South Australia and accepted Ministerial resignations, presided over an Executive Council meeting and officiated at a swearing-in of Ministers.

Afterwards in the Goodman Building Lecture Theatre, Adelaide, the Governor, as patron of the Royal Geographical Society of South Australia Inc, and Mrs Scarce attended the lecture "The Leichhardt mystery - the theories on what happened".

In the afternoon, Year 12 students from Open Access College toured Government House.

On Wednesday afternoon at Government House His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted a luncheon for His Excellency Mr Paul Madden, British High Commissioner.  Other guests included Mr S Gill, British Consul-General; Mr JFB Bruce, British Honorary Consul in SA and Ms N Graham, Mr M Cooper, Mrs F Harvey, Ms E Van Genderen and Mrs I Beecher, participants in the Governor's Leadership Foundation program.

 In the evening in Adelaide the Governor, as a guest of the Migrant Resource Centre of South Australia and the Local Government Association of South Australia, addressed the gathering at a civic reception in recognition of SA Refugee Week.

His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce also attended a dinner at North Adelaide, hosted by Dr Christine Rothauser, Honorary Consul of France in South Australia.

On Tuesday evening at Government House His Excellency the Governor, as Honorary Member of The Lions Club of the City of Adelaide Inc, and Mrs Scarce hosted a reception for the presentation of the Lions Children of Courage Awards 2011.

On Monday afternoon at Government House His Excellency the Governor received The Honourable Michael O'Brien MP, Minister for Agriculture, Food and Fisheries.

On Sunday the Governor and Mrs Scarce, as guests of Young Adelaide Voices, attended the mid-year concert "A Winter Mosaic" at Elder Hall.

Mr Ritchie Hollands has commenced as Official Secretary to the Governor.

On Saturday morning His Excellency the Governor, as patron of the Pichi Richi Railway Preservation Society Inc, and Mrs Scarce embarked on a train journey from Port Augusta to Quorn on the Afghan Express, toured the Museum and Workshops, and met with volunteers before returning to Adelaide.

In the evening the Governor, as Honorary Air Commodore of the Royal Australian Air Force - No 24 (City of Adelaide) Squadron, attended the annual Cocktail Party at the RAAF Base Edinburgh.

On Friday morning His Excellency the Governor met with Mr Andrew Fletcher, Chief Executive Officer, Defence SA.

Afterwards the Governor, as patron of SIDS and Kids South Australia, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, participated in the 2011 Red Nose Day Parade and addressed the gathering.

In the afternoon the Governor and Mrs Scarce departed Adelaide for Port Augusta, where the Governor, as patron of the My Eye Health Program, addressed the gathering at the presentation event at the Cooinda Club.

On Wednesday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor received The Honourable Lyn Breuer MP, Speaker of the House of Assembly.

Later the Governor, as patron, received Associate Professor Susan Neuhaus CSC, Board Member of Foundation Daw Park Inc

In the afternoon the Governor, as a guest of Festival City Wines & Spirits Pty Ltd, addressed the guests at a luncheon for Novita Children's Services Adele's Creative Kitchen for Kids at Festival Cucina, Albert Park.

Later the Governor and Mrs Scarce, as guests of The Honourable Mike Rann MP, Premier of South Australia, attended an afternoon tea for the Special Olympics South Australia team at Parliament House.

In the morning, students from St Andrew's Primary School toured Government House.

On Tuesday evening at Government House His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted a reception to mark the birthday of Her Majesty The Queen and to celebrate the Commonwealth Day theme ‘Women as agents of change'.

On Monday afternoon at the Adelaide Festival Theatre His Excellency the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, addressed the gathering and presented awards at the official Volunteers Day celebrations, as guests of The Honourable Grace Portolesi MP, Minister for Volunteers.

On Saturday afternoon His Excellency the Governor, as a guest of the Australian Army Cadets Brigade South Australia, addressed the gathering at the Cadets Corps Day Parade at the Torrens Parade Ground.

On Friday morning at Government House His Excellency the Governor met with Mr Andrew Fletcher, Chief Executive Officer, Defence SA.

Afterwards the Governor received Mr Keith Conlon.

In the afternoon the Governor, as Deputy Prior, and Mrs Scarce hosted an Investiture Ceremony for The Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St John in Jerusalem in South Australia.

In the evening the Governor and Mrs Scarce, as guests of the Adelaide Festival Centre, attended the Variety Gala Performance of the Adelaide Cabaret Festival at the Festival Theatre.

On Thursday morning His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

In the afternoon at Government House the Governor, as patron-in-chief of The Bob Hawke Prime Ministerial Centre of the University of South Australia, and Mrs Scarce hosted a luncheon in association with the Annual Hawke Lecture.  Guests included The Honourable Dame Silvia Cartwright PCNZM DBE QSO DStJ, 2011 Hawke Lecturer; The Honourable Bob Hawke AC; The Honourable Robyn Layton; Professor Pal Ahluwalia; Ms Paula Nagel; Mr Stephen Watkins and Ms Elizabeth Ho.

In the evening the Governor, as patron-in-chief of The Bob Hawke Prime Ministerial Centre of the University of South Australia, and Mrs Scarce attended the 2011 Annual Hawke Lecture at the Adelaide Town Hall.

In the morning, students from Modbury High School toured Government House.

On Monday afternoon at Government House His Excellency the Governor received Mr Norman Schueler, Proprietor, Normetals Pty Ltd and Mr Johann Jacobs, Chairman, IMX Resources Limited.

In the evening the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted a dinner for the retiring Official Secretary to the Governor, Ms Penny Stratmann LVO.  Guests included Mrs M Jackson-Nelson AC CVO MBE, former Governor of South Australia; Mr J Statton OAM, President of The Returned & Services League of Australia (SA Branch) Inc & Mrs M Statton; Mr J Stratmann; Mr J Griffith & Mrs F Griffith; Professor C Macmullin & Mrs J Macmullin; Mr T Stratmann & Mrs C Stocker Stratmann and Mr H Stratmann.

In the morning community volunteers toured Government House.

On Sunday afternoon the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, addressed the guests at the annual fundraising luncheon of the Overseas Specialist Surgical Association of Australia at Glenelg Golf Club.

Later the Governor, as a guest of the Football Federation Australia, attended the Qantas Socceroos vs New Zealand All Whites match at Adelaide Oval.

On Saturday afternoon His Excellency the Governor, as patron of the Returned and Services League of Australia (SA Branch) Inc, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, officially opened the new Murray Bridge Sub Branch facility.

In the evening the Governor, as Honorary Colonel of The Royal South Australia Regiment - 10th/27th Battalion, and Mrs Scarce attended the Regimental Dinner at Keswick Barracks.

On Friday morning His Excellency the Governor, as patron, and Mrs Scarce visited the new CanDo4Kids facility at Modbury North.

In the evening at Government House the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted a dinner for members of the Grand Council of the Barons of Barossa.  Guests included Mr S Henschke, Grand Master & Mrs P Henschke; Mr C Glaetzer & Mrs J Glaetzer; Mr M Whyatt & Mrs J Whyatt; Mr P John & Mrs C John; Mr C Melton & Mrs V Melton; Ms L Rose & Mr W Roesler; Mr A Penley & Mr G Butler and Mr M McNamara & Mrs J McNamara.

On Thursday morning His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

Later at Government House the Governor received Mr Michael Abbott AO, Chairman of the Board and Mr Nick Mitzevich, Director, Art Gallery of South Australia.

In the afternoon the Governor received Mr Kevin Osborn, Deputy Chairman, South Australian Economic Development Board.

Later the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted a reception to welcome delegates attending the launch of the Australia-China Collaborative Initiative between the Lyell McEwin Hospital, Adelaide and the Changhai Hospital, Shanghai.

In the morning, students from East Torrens Primary School toured Government House.

On Wednesday afternoon, as a guest of the Adelaide Gaol Preservation Society Inc, His Excellency the Governor toured the Adelaide Gaol at Thebarton.

In the evening the Governor, as a guest of Mr Nie Chen XI, Minister of Publicity and Public Relations, Hebei Provincial Government, China, addressed the guests at the Hebei Culture, Trade and Business Dinner at the InterContinental Adelaide.

On Tuesday evening His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce, as guests of the Don Dunstan Foundation, attended a reception followed by the 2011 Lowitja O'Donoghue Oration at the University of Adelaide.

In the morning, students from Thebarton Senior College toured Government House.

On Monday evening at Government House His Excellency the Governor, as patron, and Mrs Scarce hosted a reception for the presentation of awards for Hands On SA

On Sunday morning the Governor attended the pre-match function and football game ‘Adelaide vs. Brisbane Lions' at AAMI Stadium, as a guest of the Chairman of the Adelaide Football Club Ltd. Mrs Scarce participated in the ‘Walk for Love' event supporting the Mary Potter Hospice.

On Saturday evening at the Lakes Resort Hotel, West Lakes, His Excellency the Governor, as Patron, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, addressed the dinner hosted by the Far East Strategic Reserve Navy Association (SA&NT) to mark the 100th Anniversary year of the Royal Australian Navy.

On Friday morning His Excellency the Governor addressed the Annual Fundraising Breakfast for the Mary MacKillop Foundation at the Hilton Adelaide.

Later His Excellency the Governor met with Mr Andrew Fletcher, Chief Executive Officer, Defence SA.

Afterwards the Governor attended the Commemorative Service for Aboriginal Veterans at the South Australian National War Memorial and later launched the DVD "For Love of Country" for Reconciliation SA at the Tandanya National Aboriginal Cultural Institute.

In the afternoon, as Patron, at Government House the Governor received members of the National Executive of the Far East Strategic Reserve Navy Association Australia Incorporated.

In the evening His Excellency the Governor opened the Swimming SA 2011 State Short Course Championships at the SA Aquatic and Leisure Centre at Oaklands Park.

On Thursday morning His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

Afterwards at Government House the Governor, as patron of The Duke of Edinburgh's Award in South Australia, hosted a reception for the presentation of the 2011 Duke of Edinburgh's Gold Awards.

In the afternoon the Governor received Mr Evan Williams, Australian High Commissioner to Cyprus.

Afterwards the Governor hosted a State luncheon in honour of His Excellency Mr Demetris Christofias, President of the Republic of Cyprus and Mrs Elisavet Christofia. 

Later the Governor received Air Commodore Noel Derwort CSC, incoming Senior Defence Force Representative, Royal Australian Air Force.

Afterwards the Governor received Mr Hieu Van Le AO, Lieutenant Governor of South Australia.

In the afternoon Year 6/7 students from Lameroo Regional Community School toured Government House.

On Wednesday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor received Miss Chloe Fox MP, Deputy Speaker of the House of Assembly.

Later the Governor, as patron of the Muscular Dystrophy Association Inc, received Mr Mr Rocc Giglio.
