On Sunday in the grounds of Government House, the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted a community concert to mark the 175th anniversary of the proclamation of the South Australia, which was attended by over 2000 members of the public.

On Saturday morning His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce participated in the 2011 Credit Union Christmas Pageant.

In the evening at the Adelaide Town Hall, the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, addressed the guests at the 30th anniversary dinner of the Nature Foundation SA.

On Friday morning His Excellency the Governor met with Mr Andrew Fletcher, Chief Executive Officer, Defence SA.

Later the Governor and Mrs Scarce placed a tribute in memory of the fallen at the Field of Remembrance on North Terrace before attending the Annual Observance of Remembrance at the Cross of Sacrifice, Pennington Gardens.

In the afternoon at Government House the Governor received His Excellency Mr Taeyong Cho, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea and Mr Baejin Lim, First Secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea.

Afterwards the Governor received the Honourable Jay Weatherill MP, Premier of South Australia.

In the evening the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, addressed the guests at the Korea-Australia ‘Year of Friendship 2011' celebratory reception at the Hilton Adelaide.

On Thursday morning His Excellency the Governor, as patron of Foundation Daw Park, attended the 2011 Remembrance Day Business Breakfast at the Adelaide Town Hall.

Afterwards the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

In the evening at Government House the Governor, as Chief Scout, and Mrs Scarce hosted a reception to thank supporters and volunteers of Scouts Australia - South Australian Branch.

Later at Parliament House, the Governor attended a dinner hosted by the Honourable Bob Sneath MLC, President of the Legislative Council.

In the afternoon, students from Rostrevor College Junior School toured Government House.

On Wednesday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor received the Honourable Lyn Breuer MP, Speaker of the House of Assembly.

Later the Governor, as patron of the Northern Advanced Manufacturing Industry Group, addressed the gathering at the Concept2Creation Expo at the Golden Grove Arts Centre.

In the afternoon at Government House the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted Mr R Champion de Crespigny AC and Mrs M Champion de Crespigny and Mr A Fletcher, Chief Executive Officer of Defence SA, and Mrs J Fletcher for lunch.

In the evening the Governor, as patron of South Australian Defence Industry Leadership Program of the Defence Teaming Centre, addressed the gathering and presented awards at the Program's 2011 Graduation Ceremony at the Naval Military & Air Force Club.

Afterwards at the National Wine Centre of Australia the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, addressed the gathering at the Submarine Technology Conference Dinner, hosted by the Submarine Institute of Australia.

On Tuesday morning at Gepps Cross His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce toured Roma Mitchell Secondary College and met with staff and students.

In the afternoon the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted a luncheon at Government House for Her Excellency Mrs Maria Luisa Beatriz Lopez Gargallo, Ambassador of Mexico and Mr A Nuñez Mendoza.  Other guests included Mr G Horwood,  Dr K Alford,  Mr P Hollister and Dr L McKellar.

In the evening the Governor, as patron of UNESCO Clubs - Adelaide Chapter, and Mrs Scarce hosted a reception for the presentation of awards.

Afterwards at the InterContinental Adelaide, the Governor, as patron of The Leaders Institute of South Australia, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, presented certificates at the Graduation Ceremony for the 2011 Governor's Leadership Foundation Program.

On Sunday morning the Governor, as Chief Scout of Scouts Australia - South Australian Branch, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, addressed the gathering and presented awards at a ceremony at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre.

On Saturday afternoon His Excellency the Governor, as patron of the Royal South Australian Yacht Squadron Inc, and accompanied by Mrs Scarce, took the salute in the Sail Past of Squadron Vessels and officially opened the sailing season at Outer Harbor.

In the evening the Governor and Mrs Scarce, as guests of State Opera of South Australia, attended the opening performance of Bizet's Carmen at the Adelaide Festival Theatre.

On Friday morning His Excellency the Governor met with Mr Andrew Fletcher, Chief Executive Officer, Defence SA.

Afterwards at Government House the Governor received Ms G Jackman from the University of South Australia, and the student team who participated in the in-country Humanitarian Project for a Safe and Sustainable Cambodia.

In the evening the Governor, as patron, and Mrs Scarce hosted a reception for the presentation of awards for Debating SA.

In the evening the Governor, as patron of the Clipper Ship ‘City of Adelaide' Preservation Trust, and accompanied by Mrs Scarce, addressed the guests at The Splendid Clipper Ship Dinner at the Adelaide Oval.

On Thursday morning His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

Later at Government House the Governor received Messrs Paul, Michael and David Crawford, Trustees of the CMV Foundation.

In the evening the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, presented awards at the 2011 South Australian Science Excellence Awards Gala Dinner at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre, hosted by the Department of Further Education, Employment, Science and Technology.

In the afternoon students from Rostrevor College Junior School toured Government House.

On Tuesday morning at Woodville, His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce visited the Stardust Castle and met with volunteers associated with the Credit Union Christmas Pageant.

On Monday evening at Government House His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted a reception for the presentation of the Personnel Employment Employer Awards, to acknowledge the work of local businesses employing people with a disability.

On Sunday morning the Governor, as patron of The Pioneers Association of South Australia, and Mrs Scarce attended the 175th anniversary memorial church service at St Augustine's Church, Unley.

On Saturday morning His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce, as guests of Edge Church International and the Childhood Cancer Association, attended the official opening of the newly renovated Childhood Cancer Association offices at North Adelaide.

In the evening at St Peter's College, the Governor and Mrs Scarce, as guests of Yalari Limited, attended the inaugural Adelaide Gala Dinner in support of scholarships for aboriginal secondary students.

On Friday morning His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce continued their Vice Regal visit to the Clare Valley, where they walked along the Riesling Trail, before visiting Clare High School and meeting with students and teachers.

Afterwards the Governor and Mrs Scarce attended the Annual Clare Valley Regional Wine Show tasting at the Clare Showgrounds.

Later the Governor and Mrs Scarce visited The Little Red Grape at Sevenhill, followed by a meeting with His Worship the Mayor of the Clare and Gilbert Valleys Council, Mr Allan Aughey.

In the afternoon the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, announced winners and presented trophies at the Wine Show Luncheon at the Clare Town Hall, before returning to Adelaide.

On Thursday morning His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

Later at Government House the Governor, as deputy prior of St John Ambulance Australia SA Inc, received Dr N Conn AO, Chancellor of the National Office, and Ms S Mitten, Chief Executive Officer and Mr G Brewer, Chairman of the SA Branch.

In the afternoon the Governor and Mrs Scarce departed Adelaide for a Vice Regal visit to the Clare Valley.

In the evening at Collins Booksellers, Clare, the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, who is patron of the South Australian Country Women's Association, attended a high tea for the signing of Bill Marsh's book "Great Australian Stories of the CWA", where Mrs Scarce addressed the guests.

Students from Rostrevor College Junior School toured Government House.

On Wednesday morning His Excellency the Governor took part in the be active Corporate Cup Challenge with the Government House staff team.

Afterwards the Governor, as patron of the Safety Institute of Australia - SA Branch, officially opened the 'Safety - It's People: Adelaide Conference and Expo' at the Adelaide Event & Exhibition Centre, Goodwood.

In the afternoon at Government House the Governor received Mr Hieu Van Le AO, Lieutenant Governor of South Australia.

In the evening the Governor, as patron, and Mrs Scarce hosted a reception to thank volunteers and supporters of the Bay to Birdwood Run Committee.

On Tuesday morning His Excellency the Governor attended the State Funeral for the late Lieutenant General Sir Donald Beaumont Dunstan AC KBE CB (Rtd) at St Peter's Cathedral.

In the afternoon the Governor, as patron of The Leaders Institute of South Australia Inc, attended the action learning project presentations given by participants of the 2011 Governor's Leadership Foundation program at the offices of Finlaysons, Adelaide.

In the evening the Governor addressed Officer Cadets at a leadership discussion at the Adelaide Universities Regiment Headquarters at Greenacres.

On Monday morning Mrs Scarce participated in the judging for the Playford Alive Achievement Awards 2011 at the Riverside Centre.

In the afternoon at Government House Mrs Scarce, as patron of the Children's Week Association of SA, hosted a reception for the presentation of Children's Week Awards.

In the evening at the InterContinental Adelaide, His Excellency the Governor, as chief patron, and Mrs Scarce attended a cocktail reception for The Salvation Army Ingle Farm Redevelopment Appeal.

On Saturday evening His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce attended the Ronald McDonald House Charities DeChellis Homes Ball at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre.

On Friday morning at Government House His Excellency the Governor accepted the resignation of the Honourable Mike Rann MP as Premier of South Australia, and the Honourable Kevin Foley MP from Ministerial office.

Afterwards the Governor accepted Ministerial resignations and presided over an Executive Council Meeting.

Later at a swearing-in ceremony, the Governor appointed the Honourable Jay Weatherill MP as Premier of South Australia, followed by the appointment of various Ministers to their offices.

In the afternoon the Governor met with Mr Andrew Fletcher, Chief Executive Officer, Defence SA.

On Thursday morning His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

Mrs Scarce, as patron of the Children's Week Association of SA, addressed the children at the launch of Children's Week 2011 at Vale Park Primary School.

In the afternoon at Government House the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted a luncheon for His Excellency Mr Omar Metwally, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt.  Other guests included Mr S Parsons and Ms R Fulton, participants in the Governor's Leadership Foundation program.

In the evening the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted a reception to welcome delegates attending the International Institute of Law Association Chief Executives Conference to Adelaide.

On Wednesday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor received the Honourable Lyn Breuer MP, Speaker of the House of Assembly.

In the afternoon the Governor, as a guest of Business SA, attended the 2011 Export Awards luncheon at the National Wine Centre, Adelaide.

Later the Governor, as patron, addressed the guests at the official opening of the South Australian Defence Industry Leadership Program at the Naval Military & Air Force Club, Adelaide.

In the evening the Governor attended the 2012 Adelaide Festival program launch at the Adelaide Festival Centre.

Later the Governor, as patron of the Seven Seas Club of Australia, addressed the gathering at the Trafalgar Night Meeting at the Public Schools Club, Adelaide.

On Tuesday morning at Government House His Excellency the Governor, as patron, received Mr John Rothwell, Chief Executive Officer of the Royal Agricultural and Horticultural Society.

Afterwards the Governor received Mr Guo Zhaoxin, Vice-Governor of Shandong Province, and accompanying delegation from the People's Republic of China.

In the afternoon at Red Cross House, Mrs Scarce, as president, officially opened the 97th annual state conference of the Australian Red Cross.

Later at Government House the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted a reception for the presentation of Rank Insignia to Senior Managers and Executives of the Department for Correctional Services.

In the evening the Governor and Mrs Scarce, as guests of Paul Vasileff, attended the Paolo Sebastian Fashion Parade at Findon.

On Monday evening at Government House His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted a reception to welcome delegates attending the AusBiotech 2011 National Conference, hosted by the Adelaide Convention Bureau.

Afterwards at the InterContinental Adelaide, the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, addressed the guests at the dinner for the National Quality Conference, Qualcon 2011, hosted by Australian Organisation for Quality.

On Sunday afternoon the Governor and Mrs Scarce, as guests of Anglicare SA, attended the Great Chefs of Adelaide Lunch 2011 at the Adelaide Town Hall.

On Saturday morning His Excellency the Governor, as patron of the XIII Australian Masters Games, viewed a basketball game at Wayville Sport Centre.

In the afternoon the Governor, as Deputy Prior of St John Ambulance Australia SA, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, addressed the gathering and presented awards at the 2011 Awards Day Ceremony in the grounds of Government House.

In the evening the Governor and Mrs Scarce attended the closing ceremony of the XIII Australian Masters Games at the City of Adelaide Games Village.

Afterwards the Governor attended the 2011 Chancellor's Awards for Community Engagement at the University of South Australia.

In the afternoon at Government House the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted The Honourable Chief Justice John Doyle AO and Mrs M Doyle for lunch.

Later the Governor, as patron of the Council for International Trade and Commerce South Australia, received Mr F Wong, Chairman and Mr B Salter, Executive Manager.

In the evening the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, addressed international students at the Valedictory Garden Party hosted by Education Adelaide in the grounds of Government House.

Afterwards the Governor, as patron of the Cora Barclay Centre, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, addressed the guests at the 65th Gala Dinner at the John Di Fede Centre, Windsor Gardens.

On Thursday morning His Excellency the Governor, as patron of The Royal Society for the Blind, and Mrs Scarce participated in the 2011 Dark to Light Walk.

On Thursday morning His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

Later at Government House the Governor, as patron of the Royal Agricultural and Horticultural Society, received Mr J Rothwell, Mr W Duncan and Mrs B Mullins of the Society, and Mr J Schutz of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources.

In the afternoon the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted a luncheon for His Excellency Major General (Rtd) Martyn Dunne CNZM, High Commissioner of New Zealand, and Mrs Jennifer Dunne.  Other guests included Mr D Taylor, New Zealand's Trade Commissioner and Consul General to Melbourne, and Ms R Murrie, Mr B Bartel,  Ms K Fullagar, Ms E Johnson.

In the evening the Governor, as patron of The Friends of the State Library, and Mrs Scarce hosted a reception to thank volunteers.

On Wednesday morning His Excellency the Governor took part in the be active Corporate Cup Challenge with the Government House staff team.

Later at Government House the Governor convened the interview process for the selection of the 2012 Rhodes Scholar for South Australia.  The Selection Committee included Dr P Phillips, Mr M Mussared, Dr V Drapac, Mr W Jackson, Ms A Heyworth, Ms J McLean and was attended by Professor G Hutchinson, General Secretary, Rhodes Scholarships in Australia and Ms B Simondson, Honorary Secretary, Rhodes Scholarship Selection Committee for South Australia.

In the evening the Governor hosted a reception for the announcement of the Rhodes Scholar for 2012.
